I am so sorry for your loss, especially it being right around your birthday. Have you considered having a Damp;C? With my loss my OB gave me the option to wait it out or have a Damp;C it was a missed m/c, so the baby had been gone for several weeks but I did not miscarry on my own yet. The Damp;C was very managable, painless physically.. A friend of mine actually two.. just had them recently but one was going on vaca the next week so decided it would be better to have the Damp;C than to wait it out and I think she was happy with her decision. Anyway, I am so sorry for your loss :
I wasn't able to do a d and c before we left because the baby still had a heartbeat only 86 bpm. If I have not started bleeding by the time we come back, I go for another ultrasound. If the results are what we anticipate they will be, I will schedule the d and c. I defineitly hate the waiting.

Dayna, I'm so sorry. I know its going to be an incredibly difficult vacation but I hope you and your husband can find some peace together. I know its a rough day but I still wish you the best birthday you can have.
I am so sorry for your loss.. and I know the vacation thing doesn't help at all. I know there is nothing I can say to make you feel a bit better, but you are in my thoughts
You are not alone. I "celebrated" my birthday waiting to miscarry last year AND I had plans to go on vacation days later. I actually started to bleed on my first day of vacation. It was all heartbreaking and I was in an awful state because of it. However, somehow I do have a couple of nice memories of that trip despite how hard it was. I hope that your vacation gives you some moments of sweetness. I'm so sorry you are in this position.
