Let's talk about something more pleasant

So Charlotte learned how to roll from tummy to back last week! Now she seems set on learning how to sit up. It's hilarious, she'll start lifting her her head up and does a sort of crunch, then looks at me with a look of, "Aren't you going to help me?!?!". So I'll let her grab onto my fingers and I'll help her into a sitting position. She looks so happy when she's finally sitting up!

What new cute things are your LOs doing?

  • DD 2 is like that 2, she arrived being able to pactically hold her head up. She would be much happier if she could sit like that all day long!

  • Kara found her feet! It's ridiculously cute. But damn she gets pissed when you take them away to change her!  She'll roll from her back to 95% of her tummy but can't get that one last fatty arm out from under her, but then gets PISSED when she's stuck on her stomach.

My 2 year old is learning to count in spanish and I want to just eat her up everytime I hear her say "UNO!"

Same with Charlotte, she was lifting her head up right out of the womb! Sometimes she starts crying while laying on my lap, and I'll check her diaper, clean, try to feed her, not hungry, check to make sure her clothes aren't too tight, everything looks good... then I'll lift her up into a sitting position and she'll start smiling. -_-

  • OK, I know you guys don't care and I wish I didn't feel compelled to post this, but you claim you still think about and care about my babies, so here goes.

Neither of them are rolling belly to back yet despite all of the tummy time they will tolerate.  However, EK is convinced she can sit up.  I wish I had a video of it.  She lays there and she sticks out her tongue and hunches her shoulder and grunts.  Her newest thing is pulling up her legs as well.  It's the cutest thing ever.

Again, I know none of you probably care, but I feel compelled to share.  You may not care about me, but you "watched" my babies grow from the beginning and regardless of what you think of me or my husband, my babies are still stupid cute (at least I think so).

I do care about your babies. Thank you for sharing. I can imagine how adorable she must look, in fact, it sounds very similar to what Charlotte does.

  • Allison,

You do have two cute adorable babies, and I do miss seeing pictures of them. I do hope the best for you and your family. I am sorry that some things were said last night and when I first posted asking Alicia how they are doing, I was actually being genuine in asking because I do care. I do miss hearing about them. I wish that none of this went down, and would like to actually hear more about how they are doing. Little girl isn't rolling from belly to back either, but is from back to belly. She loves standing up with assistance, sitting and enjoys kicking like crazy. Her favorite thing right now is the holey ball, and her thumb and pointer finger together. Hope that your two are doing just as well.

  • DS is still not very interested in rolling and hates being on his belly, but he's starting to sit up. Also, he's figured out cups. He loves to grab the cup we use for rinsing in the tubby and dump water over himself. He brings it right up to his mouth and tips it up, and the water goes all over his face/chest/belly. Can't wait till we are drinking out of cups! (Although I hope his aim improves.)

E tries to sit up too. Mostly in the bathtub.. or in the swing. It's becoming increasingly difficult to put her in her swing swaddled & not worry she will just sit right up!
