Pacifier - never used

Bottle - down to 3 a day, been mixing formula w/ WCM but switched to WCM only today (b/c I ran out of formula)

Using a sippy cup - hasn't quite mastered it, but I think he is more capable than he shows me...right now he just thinks it's funny to throw it down and have me pick it up for him.

Using a real cup - not brave enough to try yet

Swaddle - not since 4 months old

Sleeping In Crib - since day 1

Crawling - for about a month now

Standing - nope

Cruising - nope

Walking - nope

Teeth - 8 with 3 more on the verge of breaking through

Talking - like a champ. babbles to himself and the dog all the time. I can't make out any real words yet, though.

Pacifier - In the crib at bedtimes and naptimes only

Bottle - About 90% of the time. Trying to use the sippy more

Nursing - Stopped at 7 months, pumped until 10

Using a sippy cup - Trying to do this more

Using a real cup - Only if I hold it. If I let her have it it's everywhere

Swaddle - Stopped at 5 months. We used it a little too long

Sleeping In Crib - Yep. From her first night home

Crawling - Yep. Started at 7 months

Standing - Yep. Started soon after crawling but only while holding on to something.

Cruising Yep. But she doesn't do it as much as she stands

Walking No. No sign of it either.

Teeth - 8. Four on bottom and four on top.

Talking - She can say, mama, dada, yay, hoo!, tree, and see but that's it.

Pacifier: We so have to wean! I wanted to be done by 1 yr but I don't see that happening.

Bottlen: weaned as of 11 months.

Nursing: Never nursed.

Using a sippy cup: Fulltime sippy user.

Using a real cup: Um... No.

Swaddle: Never swaddled.

Sleeping In Crib: Since day 1.

Crawling: Yep.

Standing: Yep.

Cruising: Yep.

Walking: RUNNING!

Teeth: I think we are up to 10?

Talking: mama, dada, bye bye, uh oh, more, done, meemi [grandma], up.

Pacifier: She has never used one.

Bottle: She's only used it maybe a handful of times, she prefers the boob/sippy

Nursing: Still nursing about 3-4x per day, and sometimes once overnight Embarrassed

Using a sippy cup: She has gotten a lot more used to this over the past month

Using a real cup: Haven't tried it yet.

Swaddle: Oh boy, can't remember the last time we did that.. maybe 2 oe 3 months old?

Sleeping In Crib: She sleeps there for naps and at the beginning of bedtime, but if she wakes up after 4am, I usually just bring her into bed with me.

Crawling: She mastered it in about a week when she was 9 months old.

Standing: She will only stand if she is holding on to something. (couch, hands)

Cruising: I'm not sure what the difference is between this and walking, so I'll just answer the walking one lol.

Walking: She can "walk" if she holds my fingers.

Teeth: The bottom 2 middle teeth have been there for about a month, one top tooth is poking through slowly.. and it's making its presence known. Crying

Talking: She has started babbling a whole lot more! It's so cute, and I've been trying to get it on video, but she gets shy.

Pacifier--she never really liked her pacifiers. Around 6 months, she started refusing them at all.
Bottle--she still takes a bottle occasionally during the day. I am hoping to have her weaned off of them in the next several weeks. Seeing as she will turn one in 3 days..
Nursing-- she is still nursing every morning and to sleep. Also, usually when I get home from work, she wants to as well. I think she could easily be weaned from the morning and afternoon feeding, but the night one will be harder. I'm not in any hurry to wean her though.
Using a sippy cup -- she likes her sippy cups. Still working on a straw.
Using a real cup-- she does this pretty well. She would rather drink from my cup than her sippy cup.
Swaddle--stopped around 5 months.
Sleeping In Crib-- nearly every night, unless she's sick or teething. Transitioned at 5 months.
Crawling-- is a pro. Loves the stairs.
Standing-- will stand on her own, but would rather sit.
Cruising--if this means walking while holding onto furniture or walls, she does it whenever possible.
Walking-- not yet!
Teeth-- 2 on bottom. The top left has broke through, and the top right is trying to.
Talking-- says Daddy, Momma, dog, duck, baby, bye-bye, Lola (dog's name), hi, and will repeat some things. My mom got her to say Nana the other night.

Pacifier : Hells ya he still has one. DD had them until she was three. As long as it's only bedtime I am not worried.

Bottle: Yup. He is refusing sippy cups. He likes to figure out how to spill them. He's pretty good at it too.

Nursing: Not since 6 months old.

Using a sippy cup: Nope See above.

Using a real cup: Ummm no.

Swaddle: Grew out of it a long time ago.

Sleeping In Crib: Yup

Crawling: Yup when he needs to get somewhere fast.

Standing: Yup

Cruising: Yup

Walking: Yup.

Teeth: 8

Talking: He says a few words. Hello (sounds like Astro or Scooby though with a Hewwo), Bye, Mummy, Dad, Dog, Me Up, Me do, and yum.

Mostly he just growls a lot.

Using a real cup - Ha. No.
Swaddle- Not since 4-5 months.
Sleeping In Crib- Since the 1st week home
Crawling- 6 Months
Standing- Almost immediately after crawling. We used to joke that she would only crawl so she could get somewhere to stand up.
Cruising- 7-8 Months
Walking- 9 Months
Teeth- 8.. I think she has a few more coming.
Talking- Lots of babbling, mama and dada. She also signs for milk.

Standing-- he pulls up on something to stand

Cruising-- still seems to prefer holding onto something while walking

Walking-- has been walking on his own for 3 weeks. He falls a lot, but he looks so proud of himself while doing it.

Teeth-- 2 bottom teeth

Talking-- says "mama", "kitty", "hey" and lots of other babbles

Using a real cup- He can't figure out what to do with a real cup but will drink through any straw he's offered.

Crawling- All around town

Standing- He'll stand without holding on but only for a couple seconds.

Cruising- All around the living room and with his little walk behind toy.

Walking- Only with holding hands

Teeth- Three and we can see two more on the verge of popping through

Talking- Just babble and "Hi"

Pacifier: She hasn't used one since 6 months. However, she is a thumb sucker when tired these days.

Bottle: Gets 4-5 bottles of formula a day

Nursing: Weaned when I was 3 months pregnant.

Using a sippy cup: She can kind of do it, but doesn't really like to.

Using a real cup: Loves using a real cup! But needs a lot of help--haha.

Swaddle: Cold turkey stopped the swaddle at 3 months

Sleeping In Crib: In a crib since 4 months old, in her own room since 6 months old.

Crawling: like a maniac! Started around 6/7 months

Standing: Loves it. Started around 8 months

Cruising: She is really good at this these days too. Started around 8 and ahalf months.

Walking: Not yet

Teeth: 6 teeth. 2 bottom, 4 top

Talking: Lots of babbling and it seems liike she says mama and papa with meaning, but I'm not too sure.

ETA: I mean standing while holding onto something. She can only stand a couple seconds on her own.

Pacifier- only at sleep, and even then not always.
Bottle- at the sitters she gets 6ish oz in the 5 hours I'm away.
Nursing- lots bed/naptime mostly.
Using a sippy cup- when we're busy or out she uses a kleen kanteen
Using a real cup- at her high chair for meals, has for a long time. she's great with it, unless she's not actually thirsty and just wants to play.
Swaddle- ha! oh god I miss the swaddle.
Sleeping In Crib- She has slept in there since she was almost 10 months old. We had her in our room and bed before that but she really wanted her own space. She totally took to that on her own. I'm sort of crushed that she won't bedshare at all anymore, but it's best for her.
Crawling- been at it for months.
Standing- ditto.
Cruising- ditto.
Walking- we've gotten up to 4 steps here and there but that's it. lots of standing, staring at me, and then collapsing into a lump to crawl faster
Teeth - four, but I think more might be on the way given how crappy she has been feeling.
Talking- no words, but understands a lot and really shows her feelings with her intonation. there is no question what she thinks these days!

Pacifier: She decided she did not want it at 5 months. She just threw the thing out of her mouth and never put one back in.

Bottle: She has had bottles off and on since 3 weeks old. I am a SAHM now, but I worked the first few months. She got frozen or chilled bm while I was working, and I also nursed her during my lunch break. We are now working on sippyhood.

Nursing: Still doing it, but we are introducing 1-2 bottles/sippies of milk a day as well.

Using a sippy cup: She's been able to use a straw sippy for several months now of water, but the milk thing is a struggle.

Using a real cup: Not yet.

Swaddle: She HATED being swaddled, so it never happened. She was frank breech, so it was not natural for her to be swaddled. She still sleeps folded in half sometimes as she did while in the womb.

Sleeping In Crib: we transitioned her to her crib around 5-6 months. We just knew it was time, because she kept waking every hour while in our room.

Crawling: right at 9 months

Standing: about the time she sat up on her own

Cruising: around 7 months, I believe.

Walking: not yet, and I don't see it happening any time soon.

Teeth: She didn't get her first until 8.5 months. She just cut her 6th yesterday.

Talking: she said momma at around 4 months. She has been a talker ever since.

Using a real cup At meals with me holding. I use it to dip his toothbrush in to brush his teeth afterwards

Swaddle He never was a huge fan. We stopped around two months

Sleeping In Crib He loves his crib, however it wasn't the case early on. We switched him from his little chair to on his back at almost 4 months

Teeth I hate teeth.

Talking Just lately there has been a TON of babbling conversation, along with throwing his arm, pointing and shrieking punctuated with a question mark. It's hilarious!

Walking all over the freaking place. For about three weeks now?

Pacifier: He is still using it but we hope to start weaning him off of it in the next month or two (or three).
Bottle: This isn't going well either. We have been inconsistent with the sippy cup and for the last 2 days he has refused it so we reverted back to the nipple on his bottle. We need to step this up.
Nursing: NA
Using a sippy cup: See "bottle" response
Using a real cup: This isn't really on our agenda right now. He can use a real cup if I hold it for him and give him sips. He hasn't quite gotten the hang of a straw...it is hit or miss.
Swaddle: he hasn't been swaddle since he was a couple months old. We have been using sleep sacks and he will probably continue to use those at least for a little while.
Sleeping In Crib: he has been doing this for the last 6 months.
Crawling: He is everywhere! he has mastered this one.
Standing: He does this too.
Cruising: He cruises around the furniture while standing/walking but travels the house mostly by crawling.
Walking: He only walks while holding onto furniture or us.
Teeth: 8 so far.
Talking: He says Mama and Dada but since we call DH Papa I am not sure if he is using Dada because it is easier or if it is in reference to DH. He does say "Uh-Oh" all of the time in context. I think he tries to say cat and if I work with him he will try to say Emma (our dog's name) but it sounds like nene. I am still not confident what is in context and true "talking" versus babbling.

I know a lot of you are giving me the side-eye for even suggesting the use of a real cup over a sippy cup, but in everyone's favorite book What to Expect The First Year Chapter 9: The Fifth Month actually suggests trying it. I was skeptical too and E is no where near using one. I'm glad to see she's not alone in her skill level and I'm not alone in me incredulity!

Bottle - Refuses unless breastmilk

Nursing - Still at it, many times/day

Using a sippy cup - getting better.

Using a real cup - messy, but can drink from a cup if I hold it.

Swaddle - None since 6 months

Sleeping In Crib - Good for a few hours a night, then wants to sleep with mom and dad.

Crawling - Zoom! Super fast, but taking a back seat to walking.

Standing - Easily

Cruising - Easily

Walking - Steadily improving. Walks more than crawld now. Can stoop down then stand without holding on.

Teeth - NONE!

Talking - says mama and dada but don't think she knows their meaning yet. She sometimes says gi-ga which is Kitty Cat.

Bottle-down to three 8oz bottles a day
Nursing-stopped a while ago
Using a sippy cup-he still only plays with it so its a work in progress
Using a real cup-haven't attempted but he likes straws so maybe he'll be good
Swaddle-never liked it
Sleeping In Crib-we started about 4 months
Crawling-started on his 6 month birthday
Standing-^^same
Cruising^^just about 6 months as well
Walking-he started at 9 months
Teeth-got his bottom 2 at 6 months, top 2 at 9 months and now he has 2 more top coming in
Talking-he's always been loud but words like mama and dada I'd say around 6-7 months? Not exactly sure.

Pacifier - Only in the car seat... She is a BEAR in the car.

Bottle - 2 per day at school full of BM.

Nursing - Two times per day, when she wakes up and before bed. (I work FT and pump for two bottles at work.)

Using a sippy cup - All meals/snacks, full of water.

Using a real cup - Nope.

Swaddle - Sleep sack... continuing as long as possible!

Sleeping In Crib - Yes, since 2 weeks.

Crawling - Yes, since about 7 months.

Standing - Yes, since about 7 months.

Cruising - Yes, since about 8 months.

Walking - Yes, took steps at about 10.5 months. But REALLY walking about 11/11.5 months.

Teeth - 6

Talking - Yes Mama, Dada, water, light, all done, uh oh, bye bye - Has really started talking more and more lately!

Walking: he can walk independantly for 3-4 feet, but then falls. he will walk between people/furniture if they are close enough together

Talking: says mama and dada, but no other words that i can recognize. he babbles non stop.

Pacifier - not using it as much, but still needs it for sleeping and when she's upset; going to stop using it in her stroller

Bottle - we're still bfing and haven't used a bottle in quite a long time, but also haven't tried bm in a sippy cup; so basically, I don't know

Nursing - all.the.time! She finally learned how to do the sign for milk and is asking for it constantly (not that she always gets it, of course)

Using a sippy cup - didn't like the regular one, but does very well with a straw one

Using a real cup - one of her favourite things; she does well, but always spits out at least one mouthful all over herself

Swaddle - never liked it

Sleeping In Crib - except for a brief period of bedsharing, she's always slept in her crib

Crawling - like a champ!

Standing - getting good at standing without holding onto anything

Cruising - everywhere

Walking - only a few steps at a time, but getting better and more confident every day

Teeth - still just 2 on the bottom

Talking - no She babbles like crazy and does a bunch of signs, so she definitely communicates. But no words, not even mama or dada

Cruising - yes since she learned how to crawl

Walking - taking 3-4 steps w/o any assistance.

Teeth - 2 bottom teeth

Talking - babbles like a foreign language.

Pacifier: DD gave it up on her own around 6 months.

Bottle: We EBF so she only gets a bottle maybe once a week.

Nursing: Still 4 to 5 times a day, although she has cut back since eating more food.

Using a supply cup: She only does water or watered down juice in it, but does well.

Using a real cup: She can drink from one but can't hold it well by herself.

Swaddle: Weaned at 6 months with some fighting!

Sleeping in crib: Since we moved when she was 10 months old she has been sleeping in it every night, usually straight through the night.

Crawling: She's been a speed crawler since 7 months.

Standing: Yes she loves to stand while holding onto something and can stand unassisted for almost a minute.

Cruising: On everything starting around 9 months.

Walking: Not yet.

Teeth: 3. 2 bottom, 1 top and the 2nd top one is almost through.

Talking: Mama, Dada, Hi, Dog, and tons of babbling conversations. Sometimes she repeats random words.

Using a real cup: we're working on it. Right now he still drowns himself, but he's getting better. He loves drinking from a real cup.

Swaddle: not for a while

Sleeping In Crib: he's been here since the first night home

Crawling: like a bug

Standing: just for brief moments unassisted

Cruising: everywhere

Walking: only with assistance

Teeth: 2 in, 4 making their way down, painfully slowly

Talking: we've got 2 words, "hi" and "more"

Pacifier -yes -during the day no but at night and naps yes

Bottle -yup-going to start tying for less bottles soon

Nursing-N/A

Using a sippy cup -at every meal and during the day for drinks

Using a real cup -have not tried yet but she can sort of drink from a water bottle

Swaddle-not since we came home from the hospital

Sleeping In Crib -yes almost through the night. She wakes up at 5 and then comes into bed with us.

Crawling-yes since she was 5 months

Standing-yes

Cruising-yes

Walking-yes!! walking all over but she is still wobbly

Teeth -9 of them and 2 on the way

Talking-just mama and dada but mama more...

I love these discussions about where everyone is with these things, but they are in too many different posts to keep up. What's your status on using/doing these things;
Pacifier- Use for sleeping and in the car
Bottle- I haven't even tried one for about 5months
Nursing- usually 4 times a day
Using a sippy cup- yes, with a straw
Using a real cup- nope
Swaddle- stopped at about 6 months
Sleeping In Crib- always
Crawling- started around 8 months
Standing- yes, but she's such a wimp she will sit right away. Sometimes she stands for a min or two before she realizes she's doing it and will sit again. She started at around 9.5 months
Cruising- yes, right around the standing time
Walking- not yet
Teeth- working on the molars, 9 and 10
Talking- she says mama and dada, and she seems to be making the intonations for things we say often like hi and all done. The words aren't clear but it sounds like she's getting close.

Pacifier - Not since 4 months

Bottle - 3 per day

Nursing - Stopped at 5 months

Using a sippy cup - Doesn't really get it, but we're working on it

Using a real cup - Only if I hold it.

Swaddle - Stopped at 3 months.

Sleeping In Crib - From the start

Crawling - Yep. Started at 7 months.

Standing - While holding on, though I caught her not holding on a couple of times.

Cruising Yes

Walking Working on balance. She does great w/ her push walker or if she can hold on to one of our hands.

Teeth - 7

Talking - Babbles a ton. Says a few other words like mama, dada, hi, ticka (tickle), shoe, yum, etc.

Pacifier Never used.
Bottle Yup, still.
Nursing. Yup, but just around sleep times. I'd say she's 50-50 nursing/formula.
Using a sippy cup - done and retired it. Moved to the straw cup.
Using a real cup - Nope.
Swaddle - Done eons ago.
Sleeping In Crib Done eons ago.
Crawling Only recently! 11 months.
Standing Yup.
Cruising Nope.
Walking Nope.
Teeth 5.
Talking Yes, lots. Ball, bubble, book, bow, mama.

Pacifier: I am on day 2 of weaning. It's harder than I thought it would be. He woke up a lot last night wanting it. I'm a zombie today.

Bottle: Minimized use of bottle but not completely phased out.

Nursing: n/a

Using a sippy cup: using sippy cup for water and wcm during meals.

Using a real cup: prefers real cup over sippy but it will get water on himself and everywhere.

Swaddle: weaned several months ago.

Sleeping In Crib: only sleeps in his crib.

Crawling: crawling at 5 months.

Walking: started at 10 months. Starting to run now.

Teeth: has 9 teeth

Talking: no official words but babbling all day long and trying to mimic my words.

Pacifier - still using but only at bedtime

Bottle - still using but only at daycare. I think when she turns one they will start using a sippy cup

Nursing - slowly self-weaning to right before bed and at least twice at night Crying

Using a sippy cup - uses a lot already for water.

Using a real cup - messy and don't do it very often

Swaddle - still using at daycare but they are going to transition her to a cot in a month or so

Sleeping In Crib - has been in her crib since 7 months

Walking - started walking 2 weeks ago

Teeth - working on 9-12 right now. Has her 4 top and bottom front teeth and working on molars.

Talking - she says ba for ball, boo for book, baba for baby, keeeh for kitty, mama, dada, more. She also signs more, please, water, milk, all done and hat.
