So FUCKKING PISSED at the library!

So, as you know (maybe) I've been completely sick for 6 days.  Today, I'm of half of a brain and I thought of my library books.  I can't renew them online because they were due on the 25th.  AND their fines went up so now I owe them $29 dollars.  I have 10 things checked out. 

 So I asked if DH could use my library card to renew some of the things I wanted because I'm still sick and not leaving the house. NOPE! Only I can use my card and they can't renew because it is blocked.  Fvckers.  So who knows how much I'm going to owe.  Ugh! This is ridiculous!

    Wow, that's a lot! Our old library had a program where you could pay late fees in canned goods. That might be cheaper for you!

    Wow!  $29+!  We have an itty bitty library and i was late once.  I owed a 25 cents.  One more week and it would have been .35.

    Would they let him pay the fine so you could renew online?  I can see them not letting someone else use your card.  I would be kind of mad it they did let someone else use my card.

    Wow...that SUCKS. Our library doesn't have late fees. They just send a "reminder" stating the book/item is overdue.

    That's a lot of money.  You could own those books with that kind of cash.  That's so ridiculous.  I think I had mine for a year and owed like under $3.00.

    What do you have sick wise.  Poor thing.  I hope you feel better soon!

    Yeah I could own those books!  Plus more fines, ugh!

    Joe-Yeah, but if I called the branch and said my husband has permission to use it I don't think that is a big deal at all. Especially if I explained my situation to them.  Bastards they are!

    I had a library book that I lost and then found and then lost again and it was a year overdue. 

    I just checked online and I owe $3.00 in late fees.  Crazy, huh?

    I taught K last year and I got a ton of alphabet books out (like 20). They WERE late - maybe a month and I ended up owing EIGHTY FREAKING DOLLARS. Yeah. I haven't been back to the library since. Stupid library.

    I'm the worst at returning books. I always forget or they get misplaced. If it makes you feel better I think I have about $30 (maybe more) between my card and A's. They have the canned food program too during the holidays so I'll be doing that. I've started just buying books I really want b/c I end up paying so much. Sorry you aren't having any luck getting anything worked out with them.
