You really aren't making yourself useful here. I highly suggest you find babygaga. They are much more 'friendly' than The Bump.
Seriously, what ARE you getting out of being a member here? You aren't the first person to get flamed for having a DD. However, you are the first to make a big scene out of it. Put on your big girl panties, and deal with it. Fact is, you ARE new here. You can't change how things work with people who have been here, so either deal with it and move on, or find a different group of people to vent to.
We have always talked about DD because they are rude. People took the time to read and reply to your post, and you deleted it. It annoys people, and it just makes you look bad for DD'ing it.
Also, there is no need for name calling. I find it funny that you are against all of us so much, you talk about how much you think we should act, but then you go around calling names. It doesn't make us want to respect you, and you are just adding fuel to the fire.
So yeah, honestly I think BabyGaga is the board forum you should join. You would get along better with them.

But it's not rude to make a bash post. I need to put my big girl panties on because some really whiny crybaby felt like creating drama. It doesn't make you look bad for explicitly directing negativity towards a complete stranger? Im just not scared to tell you how dumb you are. And omg I made a scene?? How do you figure??? Who posted this crap talking session? Because I didn't create this. Some really crappy person did. None of you hateful old farts scare me or make me want to leave. But you will never be able to justify your negativity. If you are that bothered by someone deleting a post, maybe find a forum that doesn't allow that...? A couple of mean girls won't run me off. But again, keep it coming because you are all so hypocritical and I find it terribly funny. Contradictions left and right.
And wtf do you find do useful about this post? Like come on you have to see how illogical you all sound. Telling me to get over it and move on yet you are the ones creating the drama. Don't start it if you can't handle it. What if it was accidentally deleted? It wasn't of course, but you didn't know before the bashing started.

Lol my thoughts exactly. Anyone who believes they can think themselves well, in the face of real viruses no less, is bat-shiit crazy and should largely be ignored.

I don't think anyone thought your situation was stupid because, IMO, it's not a stupid situation. There are posts on here regularly about people having a hard time dealing with living situations or the families of SOs.

I think what people were commenting on is that your initial post, a week or so ago, was about SOs mother's abusive ex coming around, which is a serious concern, seeing as there'll be a LO involved, whereas your next post, where you said things have gotten significantly worse, glossed over the bigger issue and involved relatively trivial, albeit incredibly annoying, things. The issue was that it seemed like you no longer were concerned about this abusive man coming to your house and had moved on to being concerned about groceries and the dog. The follow up questions you received were perfectly valid and in no way made it seem as though you were stupid.

FWIW, I'm still curious to find out how you took the previous advice about dealing with the ex.

And out of curiosity, how old are you that you're assuming we're all old farts on here? Because I, being 29, take offense to that, and I know there are a lot of girls on here several years younger than me.

I'm going back on all my previous "you should've expected advice because this is a forum" crap and say that you should've expected it because you flat out asked for it. Your post title was "vent. before i explode. thoughts welcome." I just picked up my tablet and saw that your original post was still up on my screen. So don't complain about getting advice that you clearly "welcome"d.Edited to try and fix ginormous font. No luck

And fairyduster, to answer the question you threw back at me: I get a lot of things out of this board and the ladies here. I've had advice when needed, I was able to vent when needed, and because I actually took the time to create bonds and friendships with these ladies, I have had amazing support.

You, on the other hand, are very obviously not fitting in here. You don't have to like how things on the board go down, but sorry, we've done this for months and I don't see us changing. To get respect and support, you have to give it. Dirty Deleting does not earn respect, and I don't see you ever putting on your big girl panties to deal with it. It very obvious by this post you don't like us, and are calling us all names. Burning bridges much? So as I ask again: What exactly are you gettting from this board? If you want support, at this point, you will probably need go to another forum. And my advice? Lurk and learn about the people/board dynamics before joining.

We've always harped on DD's being rude. You need to accept that, and learn that we are calling you out on your rudeness. You can either learn from that, or go somewhere else, where they don't really care about each other on the boards and just sh!t rainbows.
