DH flies home to attend the State Fair every year. It's sort of a tradition for him. This year, he's taking our oldest (who's 5) with him. I have to admit, it makes me nervous. DH is a great dad, but he's sort of scattered when it comes to the kids. Between the airport and the fair (which is huge and absolutely mobbed with people), I'm a little anxious thinking about him keeping track of our son.
Does anyone have any suggestions in terms of being proactive? I've ordered some little ID bracelets that we can write contact info on, like DH's name and cell phone number. I also thought I might get DS a whistle, so that if he gets lost he can blow it to make it easier for DH to find him. Anything else anyone can think of?
Re: Child safety when traveling?
No, Kansas. Very big deal there, given that it's such an agricultural state. I've been, it's fun, but it's sort of a one-time (or very once-in-a-while) thing for me.
