My DD is 9 weeks old. We have been to the doctors for checkups several times and NO ONE has said her name right.
I really wanted a classic name, I spelled it a little different but I don't think it was far fetch.

Her name is Lilah. What is so hard about that?
Rant over...TIA!
Re: Why can't anyone pronounce DDs name?!?!

Sorry you're having trouble with it. I'm guessing you're getting Lil-uh and you want Lie-luh. On here it's asked fairly often and there's always a few people that have trouble with it or suggest Lyla instead. It's still a pretty name. I think at doctor's offices they don't try that hard to get a name right, they see so many patients (personal work experience speaking). Most people you interact with will at least remember her name even if they need to be corrected.
Lie-Luh is correct!
I think it's an older classic name, I didn't think we would struggle like we are with people pronouncing it.
This is how I'd pronounce it.
this is how i pronounce it too.
I love the name, and that's exactly how I would spell it and pronounce it.
I think the "h" on the end makes it obvious that it should sound like the end of Delilah.
This is how I'd say it.
People are idiots. I don't see how that keeps getting messed up!

I'd pronounce it Lie-Lah, too.
My name is Gianna (G-ahn-uh or John-nuh are correct) and I've heard it mispronounced 100 different ways, one teacher even combined my first and last name and called me Georgiana (my maiden name was Giorgi, pronounced George-ee)
I'm sorry you're having this problem, I don't think adding an h to the name screwed people up, they probably would say it wrong without the h.
This.
