Wow! That is amazing. My DD was born at 2lbs 11oz.... I couldn't have imagined taking her home that small! I was almost too scared to even hold her at that weight at first. I wouldn't think she would have enough fat on her little body to keep her warm. Your DD sounds like one tough little girl! It just proves that size doesn't matter with these little ones!
My DD had reflux as well and I think that contributed to some feeding difficulties we had in the NICU. She went home at 37 weeks and was a little over 5lbs. My DD was on Zantac at first (which did nothing) then they added Prilosec and then eventually she was on prevacid. She was also diagnosed with a milk protein intolerance and had to be switched to Alimentum instead of BM. She did much better after that although she still had issues with projectile vomiting and slow weight gain. She has since grown out of both the reflux and milk sensitivity and she is eating everything and drinking whole milk.
What helped for my DD was elevating her mattress a little by placing a book under the head of the mattress. She would kind of just slide down by the morning but it helped. What REALLY helped was when she was able to roll and sleep on her belly but obviously your LO isn't there yet. I also kept her upright for 30 minutes after feeding. When she started solids that helped too but a lot of people have had success with thickening feeds. My DD didn't do well at all with that. She would still vomit and if it was thicker she would kind of choke on it. Scared me to death. So, don't do that without your doctors approval. I hope your LO continues to grow, grow, grow! and I hope the reflux starts to subside. Congrats on having her home!

Which NICU was she in? She's got to hold the record of smallest baby allowed to go home in the US! Did they do a news story on you?
Haha, no news story that I know of! She was at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
Wow, you're very close to me! I live in Conover, NC (about 45 minutes from Winston Salem)
Oh that's exciting! We actually live about 20 minutes from Winston in High Point. It's nice to know there is someone so close who has been through the same things!

Congratulations! She is beautiful - I'm sorry about the skeptical welcome to the Preemie Boards. We've had a few fakers
I'll look forward to knowing you and your little girl better!
