3rd Trimester

Baby movement...

This is from 2nd tri, she felt her baby move at 13weeks... Is that possible at all?

"13 weeks, but that is very unusual. At that point, I was able to feel our little boy moving- just a rolling/fluttering sensation. Around 16 weeks, I felt the first kicks!"

Re: Baby movement...

  • I'm going to go ahead and call BS on that one-I'd put my $ on it being gas. But whatever.

  • You could've just PMed me and asked. I know the difference between feeling the baby move and gas. That same feeling continued for weeks and grew stronger until I felt him kick for the first time. Judge and flame me if you want but some women are able to feel the baby move earlier than others- it depends on the position of your uterus and placenta.
  • Alyssa - she didn't flame you or say anything mean.  She simply asked if it was even possible.  No need to get defensive.

Yeah, I realized a few minutes after I posted it that it could come across that way. Sorry if it sounded that way ladies- I've just gotten used to watching my back on these boards!

  • Kacie-your puppy is cute.
  • I started feeling the first flutters around 14-15 weeks. It certainly was not gas. I thought it was too early... and kind of worried this baby would be way too active. I was not mistaken, boy, he drives me nuts when he moves for 4 to 5 straight hours. He has been active eversince.

  • If you are asking if its possible: yes it is. While it is earlier than most, it is still within the range of noticing first fetal movement. Especially since it continued.

Thanks!  He's a big boy now.  That was taken when he was little.  He's 6 months old now and almost 50lbs!  ;)

i agree that its sometimes hard to tell a persons tone on here and it does seem like you kinda do have to watch you back on these boards. I felt some bubble like popping and a little flutters around that time too. I think everyone is different and people do feel movements that early.
