So I have been in denial about my growing bump and have been living out of stretchy skirts and dresses this summer. I am starting to get sick of wearing the same 6 outfits, so I went to Macys, Old Navy and Target today to look at maternity clothes. I couldn't find anything I liked. I ened up buying the bellaband to squeeze into my shorts and it is so uncomfortable. I found myself having a semi melt down in the car on the way home from frustration. Anyone else feeling this way?

Dear Baby Pacheco...
I LOVE my maternity clothes...sorry you're having such a hard time, I've been in them since like 10 weeks or sooner, can't remember...but I was just sick of feeling SQUEEZED I had/have really bad acid reflux I felt like the maternity clothes definitely helped...quit fighting it and get some! I like the full panel, no squeezing and like PP said...it's like PJ's...
I love the clothing at Motherhood maternity. I got 3 pairs of the secret belly panel jeans and they are Sooooo comfortable. I also have a pair of capris and a pair of convertible pants capris - long pants. I don't know if I'll ever be able to go back to regular pants.
We have a destination maternity by our house. I went there once before, but the khaki pants I tried on were so scratchy feeling! I guess I should give it a second chance. Thanks for the suggestions. I get like this shopping for regular clothes too. Easily overwhelmed.
Hey! I'm about 16 weeks pregnant now. If your signature image is up to date then we're pretty close. I just found out 2 weeks ago that we were expecting, now I know why my jeans were uncomfortably tight! You are definitely not alone in the discomfort. I came across a specialty store called A Pea in the Pod in Seattle WA. The attendant explained that the Bella Band will only last about 4 months & women often grow to big in the belly for them. The stores prices are pretty on par with Nordstrom & other department stores. My suggestion is to keep an eye out for specialty stores. You'll be more likely to find some pieces that you really like! https://www.apeainthepod.com/ offers garments that will fit from the beginning to even after. I honestly liked a lot of their things for even if I wasn't pregnant. I don't plan on spending a fortune at the store but just getting some key pieces that will help me stay comfortable till this baby is here! Congratulations to you and I wish you luck on your shopping!
Thanks! I found that the bella band actually hurt because it was so tight! Maybe that's why!
This! Online has a way better selection. You can always return to a store if you don't like. Espec if you order from old navy or jcp or motherhood. Good luck! I've loved everything I've ordered so far.
Check before you order from Old Navy because I ordered 3 things and none of them could be returned in store. I hated 2 of the things I ordered.
Take the plunge! You won't regret it. Plus, I find I actually look more pregnant when I wear maternity clothes. It kind of rounds out your bump if that makes sense.
I would try Motherhood. Their secret belly fit panel is amazing and so comfortable.
I felt this way the first time I began looking a few weeks ago. Since then I've had better luck with Motherhood Maternity Outlet, Gap, and Old Navy... Keep looking. You'll find something you like.

I am with you. I am also in denial and am still squeezing into my regular jeans (which are starting to give me a muffin top...not cute).
I broke down and bought a few maternity dresses, which look like normal maxi dresses and are cute with a cardigan. However, pants are a whole other issue - ewww. Why are they so ugly? I can't get past that panel thing either...
3 IUIs to get BFP w/baby #2
Lost baby #2 at nearly 12 weeks (D&C on 9/19/14)
This. They have the best jeans!
The problem with old navy maternity is that in in-store maternity selection SUCKS (here, at least). I've had a ton of luck online (with better coupon codes, too) for shirts. I hate their pants. I'd say the shirts run a little big (regular ON, I wear a S or M. Maternity is pretty much always a S). I think Target is WAY overpriced. I got cute capris at Kohl's on sale about 2 weeks ago. Still not super-cheap but they're cute and I plan to wear them a lot.
That's the worst! I hate baggy pants!

I felt the same way when I went to Target, was really bummed out the small selection and type of clothes they had. I've had really good luck with Destination Maternity (especially the Pea in a Pod items). I really like that they have maternity designer jeans too, they look just like the pre-pregnancy pair I have. I also have found that I have the best luck buying from them online, there is obviously a bigger selection and have found their sizing chart to be very accurate. They are also having a big online sale right now.
Maternity jeans/pants are the best! Why don't they make regular pants with that stretchy panel?! : )
I have the Dark Skinny jeans from ON and love them too! They seriously fit just like my old jeans only with a full panel.
I am not showing quiet yet and not ready for maternity clothes BUT I am squeezing into my 'regular' pants (particulaly my work pants) and it so uncomfortable. I may be venturing into the maternity section soon just to be comfortable!!
Am I the only one that did a double take on this?
Also, online shopping. Size yourself in store if you must but they (any store really) has a better selection online. And stores like JC Penny allow you to ship something to the store so you don't get charged for shipping.
Me too 100%
