Hi Blu, i need a hotel recommendation that's located near the wild animal park, please. We will have the baby with us, and want to spend under $150/night (fri/sat). Thanks!
Okay, so the Wild Animal Park is a bit in the middle of nowhere. I'm sure there are hotels in that area, but none I am terribly familiar with.
All that being said, it's fairly easy to get around San Diego, we're only 20 minutes away. If you can get some kind of deal, I would HIGHLY recommend staying at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. If you can't get a deal, it might be out of your price range. But Rancho Bernardo might be a good place to stay regardless.
Just butting in to say I love the wild animal park! I would love to stay in the tent cabins they have right in the park someday. That would be so cool.
We are planning on going to the zoo instead, we will wait till he gets a little bigger to go to the safari. Oh yeah we are planning on going next Saturday is the Blu family free on sat?
Overture- I saw those tent cabins, so cool...one day...
Boo! I was hoping it wasn't going to be this weekend. We're in Chicago for a wedding.
The zoo will be great fun for all of you - both have their highlights (The zoo is shadier and cooler in the summer, but the Safari Park has the splash zone area). PLUS the new baby panda was just born at the zoo! (I don't think the baby will be available for viewing for another month, but they might have video set up of the nursery)
Darn it, maybe next time we can meet up in a few years at the Safari Park . After watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians new episode I now know what to wear at the SD zoo ala KimK; pleather leggings, black pumps and a tan tunic with full on makeup!!!!
::butting in:: My friend just took her grandkids there and she said that feeding time at 3pm is worth it. Her 14 month old granddaughter was in total awe with the lions. Have fun!
