Second baby, what do I need?

Baby #1 will only be 16months so I'm pretty sure I've almost everything.

Trying to budget for what else we need..
1. Bigger car seat for #1, #2 will go in #1 first car seat
2. Double stroller

I can't seem to think of anything else?

That's about all you need for a second. We are getting a couple additional things that would've been nice with #1, but couldn't afford at the time. They include: bumbo, bassinet or RnP, woven wrap to carry the newborn in so I'm more hands-free.

Besides car seat for our older child, since he will be moving out of the baby's room we will need to get furniture for the older child. Bed, dresser, probably a glider/rocker, maybe even a bedside table even though he doesn't need it now but then will be all set for the future. We will also probably need some new bath toys and baby toys since some of those got kind of nasty. We won't do a double stroller but that's just us.

I will also be getting a 2nd booster seat.We didn't use a high chair just a booster type seat attached to a normal chair but even at 2 1/2 I see DD still in hers so for the $20 I'll probably just pick another up.

I'm also contemplating getting another, backpack style diaper bag, to better suit my constant up/down of picking up a kid without losing the bag's strap.

Oh and they won't be sharing rooms so I'll get another camera for our monitor.

The best thing I bought for number 2 was a Beco carrier! I wore YDS a lot so I could still play with and take care of ODS.

We're going to be setting up a new bedroom for DS, so the baby can have the nursery. I'm hoping to not buy too much furniture. We're being given a toddler bed from BIL. We'll need a second camera for the monitor. That's pretty much it. When the baby is ready for the high chair (in about 6 months) we'll get a booster seat for DS.

We're not doing a double stroller. I can wear the baby in the Moby if we need the stroller for DS. Mostly now when we go places, DH likes to carry DS on his shoulders. If we find we need to have both of them in a stroller, I'll look for an umbrella stroller for DS.

That's about it. We are buying another crib because our daughter won't be ready to give hers up. Then we ae moving the changing table and glider into the baby's room and making a reading corner on the floor for our daughter.

A carrier if you don't already have one as well as a booster seat for older child so baby can eventually use the high chair.

We need a "big boy bed" for ds...probably going to get bunk beds as the children will be in the same room together. Right now, ds is in the day bed version of the crib baby will use. We also have to get something for the table- we have a bumbo, so I think that will work for a bit, before baby eats. DS doesn't want to give up his tripp trapp (sp?) chair- It starts as a high chair to use at the table or alone, and can be used as a desk chair once they are older, and I'll likely wait to get baby one, since they are a bit pricey- hoping DS will want to use the adult chairs (he's 4).

As mentioned- other clothes if the sex is different. And their very "own going home" outfit. -basically just things for eating sleeping and pooping are necessary, right?

We cloth diaper I got some new OS during black Friday deals to replace some of the aplix ones that got cruddy but other than that we are moving DD to another room so a bed for her and DH will make her some shelves that will be a bigger kid version of the storage unit in the nursery. We need a new car seat since DD is still in the convertible and will be forever at this rate. I'm replacing our bottles cause they are just nasty and new pump since I hated my old one and some odds and ends that are broken/missing like a new nose frida. DD was team green so we are set for clothes either way for the first little bit.

This, but I got an Ergo. I also got a RnP because DS1 hated his bassinet. We had a hand me down swing that used batteries, so I upgraded to a swing that had A/C power. Also clothing if LO is the opposite sex. I also bought new nipples for our bottles. Not really necessary but I wanted new ones for the new baby and they were cheap. I eventually bought a Sit N Stand Stroller as well.

What will the sleeping arrangement be for your 16 month old? Will you transition to a toddler bed? Or buy a 2nd crib?

That's about it besides maybe small stuff. For us anyway we just moved DS to big boy bed so the new baby is using his old crib, changing table etc. I just need to get a new mattress and some more bedding diapers, decor for nursery etc. and the double stroller.

My must-have list for this baby includes:
-new infant seat (ours is going to expire); leaning toward Chicco this time
-infant seat adapter for BOB double stroller
-A+A muslin blankets
-new bedding/decor (it's a tradition for us; each baby has had their own)
-clothes if it's a girl
-new high chair (want the $25 IKEA one as our original one is gross after two kids)

#2 will be sleeping in a rock n play until 6-8months in our room, until then we will keep #1 in crib. Then we will decorate #1 new bedroom, it's over a year from now so I've no idea what he will like, so not doing it yet. We will need a dresser and toddler bed then

I have both a moby wrap and moby go that I used with #1 and I loved them

Will need new soothers/pacifiers and bottle nipples

Diapers for sure.

I have everything else you lovely ladies listed
