So, after 8 months of not being able to have sex with DH (some of you may recall my previous posts on the topic), I finally have a diagnosis: vaginismus. I had another appointment with my OB earlier this week, and although I still don't think he really believes me that it is happening, he finally referred me to a pelvic floor specialist. I met her today and she was great. I have another appointment in two weeks for vagina physical therapy. I hope it is not as horrific as it sounds.
But at this point, I'm willing to try about anything to solve the problem and rescue my marriage.
Re: My vagina has to go to physical therapy
This. I would rather not google that.
Yeah, that is one of the treatments. They also use a range of other things including electric shock therapy.

LOL, it is involuntary muscle spasms of your vagina/pelvic floor that make penetration by anything painful and impossible.

That sounds like it could go one of two ways. Lots of fun, or painful.
I remember that article too- I can't remember where it's from.
BTW- am I the only one wondering what you major in at college to be a vagina physical therapist? And what is the job title and description you'd use on your resume?

It's great that you have a plan.
I am glad that you have a diagnosis and a plan for action - that alone has to feel good (no nookie pun intended).
I have every confidence that your coochie coach is going to help get you back in form quickly! (all relevant puns intended)
I was headed for similar things, I suspect, but we were finally able to DTD recently -- 9.5 months after delivery -- without my being in significant pain. That's now happened all of once, but I'm hoping things continue to improve, as they will for you as well. ((Hugs))

And CONGRATS to you lady, that is a huge accomplishment! I hope things continue to improve for you, and that I am able to join you soon. (Not in the bedroom, that is, but in the successful-post-baby-nookie club )
