Any other co-sleepers?

We have co-slept since birth, do not really have a plan on when that would change.  Just curious if anyone has a plan regarding when you would transition to the crib..which she has yet to ever sleep in.

Re: Any other co-sleepers?

  • we had a post like this a few days ago (?).  i can't seem to find it.  i think the consensus is that there quite a few co-sleepers here, but mostly after the 4 am-ish feed.

  • I co-sleep. I exclusively co-slept until DS was about 3 months. When I was headed back to work, I transitioned him to going to bed in his crib every night... but I am totally guilty of bringing him to bed with me in the middle of the night when he wakes up the first time... I actually really enjoy it. The only trouble will be when he is too big to share the space with me!  He shares my side of the bed - I worry about putting him in the middle between my husband and I... I probably should be more worried about all of the other what ifs... but it works for us.

  • Thank you for the responses...I pretty much get a anxiety attack just thinking of not co-sleeping.  I know that one day I will have to transition her, but for now I guess I will just take things day by day.  My DH has sleep apnea so he has to wear a CPAPP machine, therefore he sleeps in the other room until we can find a quieter machine.  I must say that I do love having her with me :-)

  • weve been co sleeping since birth. he is now 7 months old. he still wakes up to pacify on the boob. since 6 and a half months i have been trying (not really hard) to put him in the play pen next to out bed. he usually wakes up within 10 min of me putting him it it. ugh. if he does fall asleep in it he will only sleep in it for 2 hours 3 tops. then he is up and crying. i know iv done it to myself though. thay say you cant spoil a baby. but oh boy is he spoiled ;). i love the cuddle time and i love having him next to me. i do worry now about him rolling off. iv been lucky and have woken up as he was starting to sit up and would have toppled off. oh my word it freaks me out. but i worry more him not being next to me.

so i guess i am slowly trying to put him in his own bed. but so far he isnt having it. i cant let him cry it out....
