In case anyone was wondering (prolapse sort-of-update)

For those that may be wondering, I figured I would pop in and give a quick update on the whole prolapse situation. So here goes:

Originally, my doctor's office wasn't going to be able to see me until next Thursday. Then they called and squeezed me in for what would have been this morning. And then freaking AF showed up and I had to call them and check and see if I should still come or not. They said we should wait until after AF is done, so now I go in on Tuesday to get checked.

I was able to describe what was going on and it does sound like a prolapse. An exam will tell them if it is uterine (which seems most likely) or if it is a bladder or rectal prolapse (less likely, as I am not having any of the symptoms or difficulties associated with those). I'll also find out more about if it is mild or something more and what the options are going forward, so I'll update again after that.

And for fun, I will share some of the lovely things I was told:

- AF is probably making it worse (i.e. more swelling and dropping)

- Gravity is not my friend so extended standing/walking can make it worse/more uncomfortable

- Umm...it could actually come out...if it does, just push it back in!

So, uh, yeah. Thankfully it is not serious or an emergency-type situation. It doesn't hurt or anything - just feels really weird. I figured I would share because apparently this is more common than I thought anyway. So, if anyone else has this happen, maybe this will help.

It royally sucks that AF is delaying things for you (and possibly making things worse!). Until your previous post, I had no idea this type of prolapse could even happen, so I'm very happy to hear that it's not a medical emergency! Keep us updated.

I love the middle pic the best! Ben just has this mature look on his face that says "Yeah, I'm calm, cool and collected". He's such a cutie patootie!! However, I love his smile/laugh in the first pic!!

Yeah, the just push it back in comment, said oh-so-nonchalantly, made me almost fall off my chair. And for the love of all that is holy, don't google that. You just don't need to see that! I only looked in case it happened so I might have some idea what I would see. Oh boy, would I just rather have dealt with it if it ever happened. Please stay inside, dear uterus! Don't make me have to try and put you anywhere!
