So I haven't been active over the past week since the news I received at my ultrasound last Friday. For those who don't know, at 5 weeks, I went for an ultrasound to confirm a uterine pregnancy after a previous ectopic pregnancy in 2008. An ultrasound at 6 weeks showed that I had a small tear near the placenta that was causing some bleeding but we were able to see a heart beat of 101 bpm (so cute). At 7 weeks, we went back for another ultrasound. The tear had gotten smaller but the heart rate was only 104 bpm (slower than what the doctor wanted to see - he said things could go either way). Unfortunately, when we went back a week later, the ultrasound showed that the baby's hear had stopped and the baby had stopped growing. I had a D&C and we are able to start trying again in a couple months. I wish the best to all of you. I'm doing ok. Was upset but prepared myself for the worst as my doctor was very upfront with the idea that my pregnancy could go either way and I think that helped. Have a great summer ladies.
