So from what I've heard you don't want anything huge, makes sense, but you also don't want something too small. People keep saying 'about the size of an airline carry on' well my carry on is usually a rolling suitcase and I feel like bringing a rolling suitcase to the hospital is strange. Other than that I just have giant duffle bags... which feel equally strange.
I'm thinking a Vera Bradley Weekender bag is probably about appropriate?
For all you ladies who already have your hospital bag 'bag' please let me know what it is. I'm thinking I should start packing in the next 15-17 days (by the 1st of July) so I need a bag.
Re: What is your Hospital Bag 'Bag'?
I'm planning to use my Nike gym bag, but if I start packing it and see that it isn't enough space (I tend to over pack) then I have a slightly larger duffle bag from LL Bean I can use.
I wouldn't worry about it too much, I don't think anyone will be judging you if you roll your carry on size suitcase into the hospital.
i'm packing my triathlon transition bag. i figure if it can get me through endurance sports it can get me through endurance labor.

I've used that smallest size of rolling suitcase for two of my hospital stays. I think last time I used a leather "weekender bag" from Bath & Body instead.
I don't really think the style or size of the bag is something to be overly concerned about. Take something that will fit what you want and don't worry what it is. I'm sure the hospital staff sees lots of variety.
I used a rolling carry on bag when I had DS1, and I'll use the same bag this time. IMO, It was the perfect size because it held everything we brought (even the boppy) with a little extra room to stuff in all the gifts/freebies from friends and the hospital.
I love this bag, where did you get it? Pockets are my favorite and if this baby comes in more colors, I may have found the bag, finally.
