thats some classy responses right there. its a shame that "discouraging" people make comments on a board where someone just asks for advise, when in-turn they get judged and nailed to the cross if they do something someone else wouldn't.
I can honestly say that I'm disgusted with half the responses -
pregnant women come to The Bump to chat and relate to other pregnant
women, and I feel there is the unwritten law that if you dont have
anything nice to say, dont say it. Understood that women will disagree
on subjects at times, but i would expect all of us to disagree on valid
points instead of name calling and excessive judging in an offensive
way. I would hope that comments like these are highly discouraged and will not continue.
It has to be MUD... The OP is 6 weeks pregnant- how on earth is there time for her to find out she's pregnant, the friend to TTC because "OMG, we need babies at the same time", and then have already found out she's pregnant too?

Agreed. I think the OP was probably a little self-centered, but she was also admitting that up front, and she really just wanted a little sympathy. It sucks that on a lot of the boards on TB, you have to be really careful, because the ladies out there are just looking for a reason to tear people apart. Luckily the August 2012 board isn't like that.

I don't think that every beotchy comment or complaint deserves to be indulged or given unconditional support.

I looked forward to being pregnant with two of my friends. We would have been closer in due dates but I had a m/c in October. We got pregnant again with this LO over Thanksgiving. Much to be thankful for, INCLUDING having close friends to be pregnant with. (Even though one already had her baby last month.) Going through this stuff is hard when you're in the first Tri. Especially with your first, you don't know exactly how to sort out your feelings. I don't blame her for feeling the way she does, but at the same time, she should grow up and just be happy she has someone to talk to about everything during her pregnancy!

These people that "come here for advice" are often just trolls looking to start drama. Her story doesn't add up.
There is a lot more to this site than just asking pregnancy questions and hoping for a polite response.
OMG this gif is exactly what I was thinking!!!! Ambsies, you rock!

apparently i have my expectations of people set a little too high then. people suck sometimes. :-
I definitely think it's MUD. I seriously cannot picture someone going up to one of their friends and saying "I want to BE you so I'm gonna go ahead and get pregnant too so that we can be twinsies foreverrrrr!!" People just don't do that. If her friend is also pregnant I highly, highly doubt it was done to copy her. Plus, like everyone's been saying, the dates dont add up...unless her friend is a perfect-ovulation-queen-fertile-myrtle.

I don't have an opinion on the actual topic over there... Mostly because I don't care that much plus it sounds like BS to me if she's only 6 wks along...
I am however amazed at how many people cared enough to flip out and rant about it lol. Like really?

Like what? Seems to me that's why most people come here. In your case it seems to be exhibiting pent up aggression - your posts seem to be mostly negative. Am I wrong?

i completely agree and have thought the same thing many times. i haven't actually read the post or the responses in this particular case, but have thought the same thing about different posts.
contrary to what another poster on this thread said, with a cute little gif, i DID come to this board because i am excited to be pregnant and wanted to talk about babies. that's it. i didn't come on here for drama or to judge people. i'm continuously surprised when i see it. i feel an instant kinship with other woman who are going through the same thing. i wish that that would be the focus more often.
