So I have been measuring 1 week ahead my entire pregnancy (but they wont change my due date). Now at my 30 week appt I am measuring 32cm--so 2 weeks ahead. Should I be panicking about a 12lb kid? Or does this not correlate that much? I am actually BELOW normal on weight gain, so it's not just fatty weight gain, it's the actual uterus/baby getting bigger. Thoughts? Experiences?
Re: Question about measuring "ahead" for those that are or did with first baby
These things are so hard to actually gauge as it's hard to be completely accurate. If your DR isn't freaking out about a 12 lbs baby, you shouldn't be!
At my 29 week appointment baby was measuring 3 lbs 2 ounces and I was measuring 2 weeks ahead...whatever that means. I'm 5'9 and have gained 19 lbs. The DR did note that it seemed like I would have a 'bigger' baby but not as big as my son was (9 lbs, 23 inches). We'll see. Again, I feel it's all a guessing game.

I have been measuring about 2 weeks ahead since about 18 weeks as well - and have gained only 15 pounds (all belly). I was concerned about a big baby too, but ended up having an extra ultrasound due to going into PTL at 27 weeks, which showed more than an average amount of amniotic fluid. So.... you could just have more fluid which makes your uterus larger, although baby isn't bigger than he/she's supposed to be.
