On the hospital list it says to bring an infant car seat. I have a convertible one but it's not one you can take out of the car easily or carry around...is this still okay, are they just making sure you have a car seat or do I have to go out and buy an actual infant one? (I'll ask my hospital on Tuesday when I go in for a tour but I was just curious what everyone else has)
Re: Do I need an "infant" car seat?
I'm fairly certain they cannot tell you it has to be an infant carseat. The hospital I'm going to does require you to bring the carseat into the hospital before they discharge, but there's not much they could do if I were to decide just to use a convertible from go.
As for convenience, well, I imagine infant carrier carseats add a lot.
