I want to try for a VBAC in September at Northside and got to OBGYN of Atlanta. I have been pretty much discouraged each time, even though they say they "support" it but every time they try to talk me out of it (holding pee problems in the future, bla bla bla)
Has anyone had a successful VBAC here? I am getting discouraged this is not something quite done even though they "say" they do.
I have a 22 month old now, so was hoping for a VBAC...
Re: Any successful VBAC at Northside?
I VBAC'ed at Atlanta Medical Center with Intown Midwifery. I can honestly say that my midwife literally pulled every trick in the book to get my baby here safely and it WORKED.
I was with Atlanta Women's Specialists near N'side because they said they'd do a VBAC, however they put far too many restrictions on it. Not good enough for me. Explore making the trek to Atlanta and book an appt. with Intown Midwifery. Dr. Bootstaylor (that supports the practice) is an absolute rock star.
Ditto heather. I know of two friends that have had VBACs at Northside. It is all going to depend on your doctor/practice. If it is really important to you and you don't feel that you are getting support from your current practice then you may want to consider switching now. Good luck!

I had a VBAC with Dr. Alarcon. He told me his wife had two successful VBACS. They deliver out of Kenneston. I had two really great deliveries there myself.
Agree.
I agree.. I will go crazy if they bring up RCS one more time, but in the meantime looking elesewhere, the one at Kennestone looks promising. I read about a Dr Randell also near Northside, but not sure about his VBAC rate..
Thanks ladies!
