Lovely Varicose Veins...

I'm starting to get some of these beauties on the backs of my calves. I also have what appears to be bruising through my pubic area and inside my thighs (I also feel like someone kicked me in the pubic bone), my Dr. looked at them today and said that they are along the lines of varicose veins. She recommended compression stockings. I can't imagine with the summer and heat and all. I'm totally dreading the idea of trapping my legs all day. Anyone sporting these stockings? Any advice or suggestions on brands? TIA!

    I dont have vericose veins but I do have some wicked spider veins. I used medical grade pressure stockings last pregnancy that were leg size specific and they didnt really help. I couldn't imagine trying them again in the summer.

    Not sure about the veins... but the crotch-punching thing may be pubic symphysis dysfunction.. splitting symphysis.  It sucks!  Is it most painful when you put all your weight on one leg (changing pants, getting into/out of car/shower, moving something with your foot)?  Try icing it, sure helps me.  So does a SI-joint stabilizer belt.
