where did you go to school?

In one of the Whine and Cheese posts below (or whatever the stupid AE is) someone was talking about being educated in top tier schools, so it got me thinking.

Where did you to school?

Me:

Undergrad and masters = NYU.

Post masters certificate = William Paterson (IN NJ)

Re: where did you go to school?

  • Undergrad= Ohio University (not Ohio State Buckeyes)

Graduate= Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (small, private catholic college outside of Terre Haute, IN. It was a distance master's).

I need to finish up some post-graduate hours for a certificate and will either do them at Valparaiso Univ. (where I live). Or a branch of Purdue that's about 30-min. away.

I went to App for a conference a few years ago. Boone is gorgeous! Plus, there's a Cook Out there and well, we all can imagine how many milkshakes I consumed during that trip.

My sister went to App. I have a lot of friends from HS who went there as well (I'm from Asheville). I LOVE Boone. I think it's such a beautiful place.

    I went to Clemson University.

Cook Out and Backyard Burger both rock pretty hard.

I miss Boone a lot and don't go back often enough.  It has really grown since I was there, too.  Boone in the summertime is perhaps the perfect place to be.

I went in February. lol It was a really pretty drive down there too. I was working at Virginia Tech at the time, so it as a nice trip down 70 and into NC.

And now I want a peanut butter milkshake.

  • I went to Millersville University in Pennsylvania for my undergrad.  It was a little school in the middle of Amishland.

I am currently getting my Masters from San Diego State University.

I think it would also be interesting to hear what your degrees are in.  Life has taken me down such crazy paths that my undergrad degree plays a minimal role in my grad work or my current profession (teacher).

I have a BS in Biology (with a concentration in Marine Biology and a minor in Chemistry) and am getting my Masters in Education (with a focus on K-8 Math Education).

    I went to Clemson University.

I did an REU program at Clemson during the Summer before Junior year, and I loved that place. I had never been to SC (the South in general) before applying, and was just applying because I needed at least 6 applications. Later, I decided it was the best bet for me among the programs that accepted me, and at the end of the program, I was totally in love with the school/ place. I told DH that DD HAS to go there for college haha.
