i never switched her diapers or bottles when they were in the news for harmful chemicals, but i can't keep ignoring everything...so i am thinking of switching to organic formula - does anyone know if they tested that too or is that a given that there would be no such chemicals in organic formula?
Re: are you thinking of switching to organic formula?
The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.
From what I understood the chemicals were most likely in the packaging so I am not sure if organics are immune. Did they only test the major brands then? I ebf but have some formula just in case.
Similac Organic is made with sucrose. I personally wouldn't use it. However, not all organics are made with sucrose. I've been using Private Selection Organic for a few months now and really like it, and it does not have sucrose in it.
That said, I don't think organics are exempt from this issue.
I looked into this when we had to start supplementing. ?All formulas have added sugar though the type varies. ?There was a New York Times article on how Similac Organic has more sugar added than most formulas. However, Similac uses cane sugar which is better than say corn syrup.
