For those of u planning a gender neutral nursery, what colors or themes are u using? I've been looking on brus and pottery barn for some ideas. I really don't want green bc most of my house is that color. If you have any examples from websites feel free to share!

I love red and aqua for gender neutral.

#1's nursery was painted a color called Belgian Waffle (from lowes) that I absolutely loved. It was a warm yellow and I just felt cozy in that room. We knew she was a girl, so the accents were girl-ish.
(totally forgot how much the lighting in that room sucks -- the color was actually a bit deeper/warmer & not as tan as it appears, but you get the idea)

#2's room (which will be #3's when they arrive) has 2 colors - a "fudge" (from lowes) brown on the bottom of the walls & a tealish blue/green on the top ("sea glass" from lowes). The chair rail is white & there are white decals on the walls.
(not the best picture of the girls, but the wall colors are pretty accurate -- please ignore the missing chair rail, that's been fixed)

I love the Skip Hop Mod Dot but a good friend has that one so it was out. This Dr. Seuss One Fish Two Fish looks off-putting at first, BUT at closer look.... the things that you actually use, like the crib sheet and dust ruffle, do not have any fish on them. So it's basically just dots and stripes in primary colors which I love. We will not use the bumper and the quilt will just be for tummy time. I love the dots on the lamp, and then the picture frames for just a small touch of the fish! You could accent with any color or a few. So we will do baskets for storage in primary colors and accent with green alligators. Good luck!

I'm leaning towards buttermilk or a soft beige and adding in pink or purple or blue accents but I still feel like I would need to know the sex cause I wouldn't want to have to go get accent stuff after baby is here. It's killing me that decorating the room is the only reason that is pushing me to want to find out even though I want to wait.
Do u think buttermilk or beige is too blah or ok for walls as long as there are accent colors in the room for curtains, bedding etc?
Thanks for the help ladies!

We are going with muted greys and orange and light yellow accents.
I love this website. It gets updated all of the time and gives good ideas for color combinations. We knew we wanted some orange (we have a bookshelf from IKEA that has orange shelves that's going in the nursery) and wasn't sure what else but this was a huge help!

We didn't buy a bedding set but we did a gender neutral theme. I ordered some prints from Etsy, painted the room a turquoise, and did a theme of just bright colors. Orange, lime green, magenta, etc.
I like Gray with Orange and Teal.
I foudn this pic online.
Thanks for the awesome site!
