Thank you & an opk q (chart stalk might be required)

To all ladies who responded about how often to test with OPKs, thank you. I wouldn't have thought to test 3x a day. 

 I noticed yesterday afternoon (around 1pm) when I tested that I had a barely there line. At 5:30 pm, a bit of a darker line but still negative, and at 9pm a line that I wouldn't have called positive, but I could see it without squinting. I tested this morning at 10 am and there was a line, again not a positive line (the top and side were darker than the rest so I don't think that counts). I just tested now and there was a barely there line. I think it's entirely possible I missed the surge, which could have happened last night or sometime between 10 am and 2pm today. I had a temp dip this morning and I was having some weird cramps/flutters late this morning which I'm going to attribute to ovulation pains. I will test again this evening to make sure since you have me addicted to POAS.

If I did surge last night/early this morning, instead of the - that I have in FF under yesterday, would I change it to a +? I presume I'm not out, and we'll bd when hubs gets home from work this afternoon, but I suspect that I'll see a temp surge tomorrow morning.

Then: Fraternal twins born at 26 weeks in 1983. Me: 640 grams. Brother: 840 grams. Family kept watch in the NICU for 5 months before being allowed to go home. On oxygen for a year and a half after being released.
Now: Me: PhD student and married. Brother: Lawyer and married.
Dad's wedding speech: Thank you to all the family who stood watch and prayed for our children's survival. Well now the little scrawny chicken is married. Who would've thought? (Thanks dad for making me laugh and cry at the same time).

    I would keep humping it out and testing with OPK. You never know a + might be right around the corner.

    I am definitely not an expert b/c I just started using OPKs, but I think I read in TCOYF that some women don't necessarily register a + on OPKs or have such a short surge that it is easy to miss??  Somebody correct me if I am wrong here.  I can tell you that I got my + this cycle (at noon) and no other positives that day.  As they say...when in doubt, hump it out ;)  GL to you!!
