Baby Names

Name Grady's Sister!

As I said in my previous post, I'm having a terrible time coming up with a girl name. We don't know for sure if we are having a girl or a boy, but I would at least like to have one of each picked out-we are running out of time! Our boy name that we have picked out is Reid (with the strong possibility of Isaac as a middle name). Our son's name is Grayden William, but we call him Grady. Based off of these names, what would your suggestions be for a girl name for us? My husband loooooves the name Kinsley Kate, and I only like it for a little girls' name, I don't see it aging very well at all. I do, however, like the thought of using Kate as a middle name, but I also am open to using Jane. I am contemplating the idea of using Camilla or Emogene as the middle name in honor of my grandmothers. (I would like Camilla as a first name, but that name is out for the first name as I have a friend whose name is almost identical). Alright...ready, set, NAME! Smile

Is Emogene pronounced anything like Imogen? If so, that would probably be a better spelling. I think it would prevent some mispronunciations.

I think Imogen Kate is nice.

  • I really like Camilla so tried to go with some names that had the same feel.

Georgia, Cecilia, Linnea, Penelope, Audrey, Annabel/le, Adrianna, Bianca, Stella, Jocelyn.

You definitely have the right idea about Kinsley...keep discouraging your H!

  • Whoa that's a lot of names in there! :)  I have to say I really like Kinsley Kate.  That way when she gets older if she wants a more grown up name she could start going by Kate.  Kate isn't too far off from Kinsley so it wouldn't be totally off for her to start going by Kate.  I also like Emogene has a middle name but I love the way Kinsley Kate goes together.  Good luck! :)

  • I think Imogen Kate is classic. To be honest, Kinsley sounds terrible to me. How about Kendall?
