We have done some moving around of things in the room that will be our nursery, but have not set anything else up. I am 20 weeks and have had a previous loss so I am more nervous this time around.
How far along will you be when you have (or plan to have) your nursery all set up and ready to go for the most part?
Re: When will your nursery be ready?
Ideally I'd like it to be done before the baby arrives but we'll see what happens. It's harder this go around to get it done with DS to think of too.
We have to do the whole bit - drywall, mud, sand, paint, wire new lights, build a closet....we're starting from bare bones. I prefer to just stick my head in the sand than think about the fact that it's cutting it close.

With DD's room, we had it done (for the most part) at around 30 weeks. We moved into the new house when I was about 20 weeks, so of course, we had lots of other irons in the fire.
After we confirm we are, in fact, having another little girl at our a/s in a couple of weeks, we'll get the nursery painted. That is if I don't change my mind about which girl is going in which room! LOL... If it stays as-is, the room will be done by around 25 weeks.
I'd love to get it done in May, but it probably won't get done until June or July :-/
DS's was ready when I was 25 weeks or so. We were exciiiiiited.
DD's was finished when she was a few months old. It was still a guest bedroom when we brought her home from the hospital, and we finished it up slowly as we got ready to put her in there. And then we moved 6 months later.
Totally unconcerned about prepping a nursery for this one. She'll be in our room for the first few months (at least) anyway.

My plan is to have the furniture (crib, dresser, changing table, glider) and decal up by the end of May.
This issue is stressing me out. Our lease runs out Aug. 25, I am due Sept. 2, my husband may be taking a job in a town around 2 hours away around that exact time. Should I be looking for a place to live in the town we live in now...OR in the new town. I want to have all of the nursery complete, but I am at such a stand still... it is driving me nuts!
Can you stay in the existing place? Do you have to move? Ask to go month to month for a period of time?
I'm also at a standstill because I would like to move before September (we're currently renting, and I'd like to buy). We won't have a nursery if we stay in our current place, so the baby will just be in our room.
I'd just get a bassinet and be prepared for the move, an infant isn't going to notice the difference

You'll be just fine! Take a deep breath!
DD still hasn't ever spent a night in her room (she's 18 months old) and there's not a thing in there I couldn't take of an infant without. Just get a good glider for the living room and as PP said, a bassinet.
Best of luck to you guys!
That's my goal as well.

Not until August. My ILs are coming to visit at the end of July so we won't move the guest bed out of there until they leave. The dresser and nightstand are already in there so it's just a matter of moving the guest bed out and the crib (currently in the basement) and glider (currently in DD's room) in and decorating. We aren't painting, so it'll just be decals or maybe a few prints, depending on what we end up going with.
Hopefully by end of July. It depends how long it takes for all the furniture to come in. We are ordering it middle of May. As of now the nursery will be one of our spare rooms so need to clear anything out!

Me too... Ours is still full of stuff to be sorted and moved to our just-emptied other spare room (we had a roommate, and that bedroom is on another level from ours, so we are moving our spare room upstairs and making the room downstairs, next to our room, the nursery).
Our nursery was my craft room but we cleaned it out and moved it to the basement. For now, we have painted, put in baby's dresser/changing table, and put a shelf up. I've also organized the clothes we have so far in the closet by making closet organizers.

Our nursery is being worked on now. We had just about completely gutted the house when we bought it a year ago and we've been working on the closets, doors, trim, drywall... all of that. My DH should be priming the nursery and the other bedroom which will be our office/craft room this weekend and hopefully painting them next weekend.
Then we'll need to have our carpet guy come. So hopefully by the end of April it will be ready. We weren't planning on getting the furniture quite yet but my parents surprised us and ordered it all. The crib came yesterday and the glider/changer are on their way now.
We have to move DS out of the nursery (and in with DD) before I can start anything. I want to wait on this till nearer to the end because I know they won't sleep as good as they do now. I'll probably do this in June?
Plus, a lot of my nursery is being ordered off Etsy between now and May. Meaning it won't arrive until June-ish.
Thus, I'd bet my nursery will be mostly worked on in July (30-34 weeks) and I'll deliver early August (35-36 weeks).
