first ultrasounds?!?

When is everyone's first u/s? Do y'all know yet? What about your first ob appointments? How are you feeling about them?

My u/s is on April 17 first thing in the morning and I am both excited and scared for so many reasons. Like what if they don't hear the HB? Or what if baby isn't growing?

Since this board is for sharing and support, I thought I'd ask. Hopefully I can get to know you all in the next few months. Good luck Big Smile

My first appt is 4/25. I'm hoping we have an u/s at that appt and can at least see the heart flutter. I still don't really feel pregnant (almost no symptoms - or maybe I'm getting used to the slight symptoms I have), so I feel like I need to see that to believe this is real.

I think your worries are normal. I know I feel like that from time to time!

My first u/s and OB appointment are 04/26. U/s first, intake with the NP and then a quick visit with my OB to ask any questions. I will be just over 8 weeks along then.

Since I had a prior loss, my first u/s is scheduled for 7w, on 4/20.

Trying to remain calm and optimistic until then!!

I just answered in the post below, but my first appt & US are scheduled for Wednesday. It took us almost 2 years to get pregnant, so the midwife wants to confirm a healthy pregnancy. It's common to have your first appt at 9-12 weeks, & unless you opt for the NT scan, you may not have an US until 20ish weeks. But they can hear the fetal heartbeat on Doppler around 12w.

My doctor is having me come in for u/s on 4/13 to rule out ectopic pregnancy. I am nervous having the apt that early since we won't be able to see a heartbeat yet, but I definitely want them to catch it if it is an ectopic so it is caught early enough this time.

My doctor is having me come in for an ultrasound on April 18th when I'll be 6 weeks and 2 days. I'm really nervous we won't see a heartbeat. The doctor is having me come in b/c I have had a prior loss.

I don't think I'll be getting an ultrasound until 20 weeks. My first appt is tomorrow! I'm so nervous. Been nervous for a few days. Excited and anxious.

My first u/s is the 24th of April. I don't know how far along I am so this will help to figure out my EDD! I know this sounds silly, but the further into 1st tri I have my u/s, the more comfortable I will feel that everything is going to be ok. So I'm ok with waiting a few weeks.

My u/s is April 18th (6w2d) and first appt is April 23 (7w). I'm nervous as well and this week is really doing me in as I'll hit the 5 1/2 week mark and that's when we mc in Feb. Trying to remain calm, and have been doing really well up until today and I cannot seem to relax! My betas last week were good so the doc said they won't take them again. They were 258 (15DPO) and 646 (17DPO). I'm hopeful that is a good sign since we never were above 500 last time and they were taking longer to double.

I just scheduled my first appt for April 24th. Hoping they do an u/s then! It varies greatly from doctor to doctor. Some always do an early u/s for dating purposes, some only do a 20 week u/s. I'm really excited for my first appt. I think I'm less nervous this time around since its not my first pregnancy so there are less unknowns, and also because I know my OB well and adore him and trust him with my pregnancy care so its not as if I'm meeting a new doctor or going to someone I've only seen once a year for a pelvic exams. kwim?

We won't have a regular ultrasound until 20 weeks, but I will probably opt for the NT scan again this time which means we will get an ultrasound at 12 or 14 weeks.
At least that is how it was for my last pregnancy which started off non complicated (I developed high blood pressure from about the middle to end of the pregnancy). Because my BP never returned to normal and I'm now on meds for it I believe I'm considered high risk so that may all change and I may get one sooner.

My first u/s is on April 17th first thing in the morning too! I'm so excited, but nervous as well due to a m/c last fall. I'm just trying to stay positive. With my first, I saw a heartbeat at 6w6d, so I'm hoping for the same this time aroung (I think I'll be 7 weeks, although the doc's office calculated 8 weeks).

My first appointment is 11 May, Just before I hit 9 weeks and I'll probably get an u/s at that point too. I'm a little nervous, but aren't we all before we get that first listen/see. However, whatever will be, will be and there's not much I can do about it so I'm just going with the flow.

I have my first appt tomorrow morning. Not sure if an u/s will be done, but my sister went to the same dr. when she was pregnant and she thinks they may do a dating u/s tomorrow! I hope so that would be great

My first u/s will be on 4/23 at 7 wks 5 days (based on LMP). I think i'll be almost a week behind that based on when I O'd. They are doing an early u/s because of my m/c.

My first appt is April 18, and according to LMP i'll be 6w6d. Hoping to get an ultrasound. A girl I work with went to see a doctor in my doctor's same office and they did one the first time she went, so we will see!

my ultrasound is on the 25th with the first prenatal visit the next day (because of my insurance they can't do them on the same day for whatever reason). i'm getting excited...of course it's a little nerve wracking too, but i am sure we will all be fine! and i also trust that whatever is meant to be will be. i have a feeling this baby is pretty sticky, so it will be good to get confirmation!!

Mine is on April 27. It will be for dating purposes since there seems to be a discrepancy between my lmp and beta #s, which came back at 22,000 when I should've been 3 weeks pregnant according to my lmp. So I'll be at least 7w 4d by then.

my first appt is on my 24th birthday, 5/2. the nurse told me my OB doesn't typically do ultrasounds until 18 weeks, which will be around the end of june. i wish it was earlier, but this is my first pregnancy and i know my O date, so i doubt she will need to do one. GL to everyone!

Wow thank you all for responding. I loved hearing your joys, fears, concerns, anticipations, etc. Its good to know others feel the same way. I've actually already seen the sac in a u/s but there was no discernable fetus as of yet (I was barely 5 weeks), although my betas were really solid. I don't think I'll be completely worry free until I've seen our LO happily floating around. LOL

The nurse said my OB will schedule an u/s at my first apt. So it will be within a week of 4/25, which is when my first apt is.

I don't have an actual date for my first Ultrasound but I was told it will be around 11 weeks. The doctor who is doing the ultrasound will call me to make an appointment. So 11 weeks would put me around mid May. Good Luck at yours.

My 1st u/s is next Monday APril 16th and I am so nervous.excited/anxious! Last pregnancy when I went in for this 6 week u/s that is when they only saw the sac and nothing else, which ended in a blighted ovum- m/c so I keep praying that is not the same this time! It is so nerve racking having to wait!

My first ultrasound isn't until 4/30. I had my first appt with my new practice last Tuesday. My old practice wasn't giong to see me until 4/30 (which reminds me I have to call and cancel that appt)

My first u/s will be on 4/26. I am getting some genetic testing done and the dr said they do an u/s to check before they draw my blood. And then on 5/2 I will have another u/s at my OB so I get back to back u/s. Yay!

I have my first u/s scheduled for 5/2, which will be 8 weeks exactly. Due to my prior loss, the doctor offered to let me come in anytime between now and then to confirm the sac is there. But I honestly just want to wait and see everything all at once. I had an early u/s with the last pregnancy and it just made me more anxious than calm, but it's different for everyone. If I have any bleeding, I'll go in early, but fx there's no need for that!!
