We started just before DS turned 6 months (with a smidgen mixed in his oatmeal). Lately we're mostly doing PB muffins every couple of days when I remember.

If you count that time DH gave E some of my DQ peanut butter chocolate covered pretzel blizzard in the car to get him to stop crying, then yeah.... we have. Otherwise, no. We'll probably wait until after his 9 month appointment.
We got the O.K. to give it at his 9 month appointment, but I am also too chicken. I might wait a couple more weeks. There are no allergies on either side, but I can't bring myself to do it yet!
I was told that introducing it too early could actually be the thing to create a peanut allergy, even if there was no family history. I always thought you HAD to wait till 1 year.
Re: Peanut butter
I'm too chicken as well. Our pedi gave us 4 things not to try until 10 months and that was one of them.
Dh was adopted so we have no family history. He is not allergic but we are still waiting. I am in no rush.
