I think it's time to lose the soother.

Smudge is able to STTN again, finally. I think he is anyway, he's not waking up hungry, but he IS waking up. Like up to 8 times a night. He goes right back down when we give him his soother.

I would really like to not have to get up that often. Any tips for getting rid of it? Without him sucking his thumb/fingers?

  • Go cold turkey- you'll have a couple of bad nights where you'll just have let him CIO but in the end it will be amazing! Good luck!

  • I WISH I could let him CIO. Unfortunately he doesn't calm down and fall asleep. He just gets more and more worked up until he needs to eat/rock or something else to get him to sleep.

I tried CIO a couple of times. After 45 minutes of him screaming his head off, I had to stop. He just gets more worked up.
