Pregnant after IF

Strange first Beta results...Looking a little better now

Hello!

My twin sister recently had a BFP that was completely unexpected and quite miraculous due to her severe DOR.  She has an FSH of 20 and AMH of 0.2.  We are 32 years old.

She was soo amazingly happy and I was too!

Here are her Beta results:

50
52 (told it was a chemical pregnancy and my sister was absolutely crushed)
150
430
1300

At first they feared that the pregnancy might be ectopic but were thankfully able to rule that out at a 5 week ultrasound.  They were able to spot a sac in the correct place.

Do you think she has a chance with this pregnancy?  She was told it isn't looking too good but I have my fingers crossed for her.  This would just be so amazing if it works out!

  • How many days apart were her betas?  This is just my guess, but the 50 to 52 could indicate vanishing twin syndrome.

  • Her betas were 15dpo, 17dpo, 20dpo, 22dpo, 24dpo

I am hoping it is a case of a vanishing twin!  Her RE did mention that it looked like she might have ovulated from both sides.  She was supposed to start IVF next month but this was natural after 3 months of DHEA.

  • I don't have any experience with slow-rising betas, but just want to wish your twin sis GL!  FX for her!

It looks to me like they are doubling normally.  I believe they only look for a doubling time of 72 hours.

ETA:  Congrats to her and H&H 9 months!

Is she still being told it isn't looking good?  The first two are the only ones that look off at all.  Like one of the PPs mentioned, it could easily have been vanishing twin or something.  Other than that, her betas look good to me.  They are higher than mine were. Good luck to your sister.
