Well...sitting in the ER is no fun :(

...but here I sit. I started having symptoms of a UTI on Friday. Things were pretty painful, an the worst on Saturday. Yesterday the symptoms started to dissipate a little, but today while I was teaching at school they came back full force only in my Kidney Region.

I called my PCP and they told me they couldn't see me today so I should go to the ER because it sounds like either a Kidney Stone or a bad Kidney Infection. I'm in so much pain and can barely stand.

The wait is going on 2 hours. Good Lord! :(

    Have them do a transvaginal ultra sound.  I got misdiagnosed for 8 months with UTIs that would come and go with pain like you describe and it really was ovarian cysts.  They could not see them until they did a transvaginal ultra sound.  One was as big as my uterus.

    Oh no!!  I hope it's not a kidney stone... I had one a few years back and it was awful...  But, your description does sound more stone than infection... :(

    OMG! That wait is the WORST.  I've been there and I hate it.  I am SO sorry you're in so much pain and you're having to wait that long.  Are you alone or do you have someone there with you?  Awww I wish I could sit there with you to keep your mind active :-(

    Dx: Endometriosis(2000) & Uterine Fibroids
    Sept 2012-March 2013: TTA for surgery & recovery; surgery removed: neuroendocrine tumor & 30% of pancreas, 
    endo on diaphragm & in abdomen, & uterine septum
    April 2013: 5mg Femera - IUI cancelled
    May 2013: Cycle cancelled; CD3 estradiol levels too high
    June 2013: Cycle cancelled; umbilical hernia found; surgery to repair
    July 2013: IUI #1.2 - 5mg Femera + trigger = BFN
    Aug 2013: IUI #2 - 5mg Femera + trigger = BFN
    Nov 2013: surgery to remove 8cm fibroid from uterus & clean up endo
    March 2014: IVF #1 - Gonal F & Menopur; retrieved 12 eggs; 6 fertilized; 0 made it to blast
    moving on to DE
    July 2014: FET #1 w/ DE; cancelled due to clots in uterus; hysteroscopy to remove fibroid.
    Hopefully beginning FET #1.2 in late August/early Sept.

    Oh no! Sitting in the ER waiting room while you're sick/in pain is the worst.  Hope they treat you ASAP and you feel better soon!

    Finished BC and not preventing since June 2010.
    Actively trying for baby #1 since July 2011.
    SA completed 5/29/2012. No sperm found.
    11/12: Dx: Congenital Bilateral Absense of the Vas Deferens.
    Genetic Testing needed as this is a mutation of Cystic Fibrosis.
    IVF #1 with ICSI planned for 2013.
    PAIF/SAIF welcome!

    BFP #3: 8/27/13
    Me: MTHFR, Low AMH (1.1), High NK cells and Antiphospholipid Antibodies.
    DH:MFI-Low morph (1%), DNA fragmentation: Excellent!
    5 rounds of clomid, 3 IUIs, and multiple non-medicated cycles- BFFN                                                      
    IVF with ICSI in August 2013 brought us our babies.  ER-9R, 7M, 4F w/ICSI  ET of 2-Grade 2 blasts. 
    + HPT at 6dp5dt. #1 (8dp5dt)- 105    #2 (13dp5dt)- 510  #3 (15dp5dt)- 960  #4 (17dp5dt)- 1889
    Dx shortened cervix, PTL, and preeclampsia during pregnancy.  Lots of medications and 13 weeks of bedrest, babies were born healthy at 34w4d!

    I agree, it does sound more stone like. I'm sorry to hear that! I get kidney stones a lot, they hurt so bad! Hope you get pain meds soon!

    Oh no :(  So, so sorry to read your post!!!  I am so sorry you're in pain - I really hope by now you've been seen and had some relief in some way!!!  If they are kidney stones I have been there and it was by far the worst pain in my life so I am so, so sorry if that's what you're going through :(  Sending Ts & Ps your way!!!

    Oh my gosh HEA!  I hope you start feeling better.  The wait is always the worst!! I hope they get you in and treated before too long!
    Together since April 2004.  Married since June 19th, 2010.
     BFP #1: January 31st 2012: CP. 
     BFP #2: June 1st 2012, Due:2/8/13. Avery was born via unplanned c section on 2/13/13. 
     BFP #3: Sept. 25th, 2014. Due: 6/5/15.  MMC on 10/23/14. Confirmed complete molar pregnancy per D&C 10/29/14, 
    HCG officially negative 12/10/14.  Benched until June 2015.

    Hope you start feeling better soon. I've never personally had kidney stones but I've heard they are horrible, I have had a UTI and they are awful. Hopefully they give you some medicine to help ease the pain!
