Hi All! I'm relatively new here...been a lurker for too long, but now I have my precious ds and lots of questions! I am wondering if anyone has had a scenario similar to mine and has any insight...
I have blocked fallopian tubes due to adhesions and scarring from ruptured ovaries. My ovaries produce fine (they were repaired), the trouble is just getting the egg past my mess of adhesions I guess. After two plus years ttc we did IVF, twice, and now like I said I have my miracle baby.
My question is, has anyone had adhesions or blockage and later gone on to concieve naturally? I have heard that sometimes pregnancy can stretch the adhesions out? Obviously it's a little soon, but I'm already thinking about when to ttc...if it's worth trying naturally even if it takes a year or so, or to just wait and plan on doing ivf again...thx in advance!
Re: Hello and Q about ttc after infertility
My situation isn't the same, but....
I TTC #2 for over 2 years (with 5 IUIs). I finally had a lap done and had a lot of adhesions and my right tube repaired. I had all this damage from a c-section 4 years ago. Anyway, I gave my self 2 cycles to try unmedicated before finishing my 2 injectable rounds left. I got pregnant on that last cycle before going back to IUIs.
I figure you could try unmedicated cycles for a little bit before jumping to IVF if you feel something may have changed.
~after 34 cycles we finally got our 2nd little bundle of joy~

byrne15 That is wonderful to hear that you had a bfp unmedicated after your repairs! I think you are right, it doesnt hurt to try unmedicated for awhile and see what happens! thanks for your input!!
