Anybody else? I'm super bummed. My dr. said we'd schedule a c-section for 39 weeks in case he/she doesn't turn before then. I'll get a scan at 36, 38 and 39 weeks to see if the baby turns before the date they sent. I am realllly hoping that the baby turns bc all along I've been hoping to avoid a C.
Re: 32 weeks - baby is breech
Agreed. There's really no reason to alarm you at this point! But if you really want to try some things to turn baby, I've heard good things about the website Spinning Babies, and there's also chiro and accupuncture techniques that may help. Also, a c-section should be the LAST resort for your Dr (not the first option he provides). If baby doesn't turn, then there ARE other options, including what I listed above and an external version. Also, why would you need to have a section at 39 weeks instead of waiting until at least 40?! A breech baby isn't ready to come any earlier than a head-down one.
As far as the external versions, not everyone is a candidate for them from what I've read. Because I am overweight, my doctor advises against it because she can't get a good feel for the baby to turn her.
My birth plan from day 1 has been to deliver a healthy baby in whatever was necessary. If its a c-section, so be it. So I'm not super hung up on having to have a c-section (personally).
Good luck

I'm confused. How do you know the baby is breech already? I thought most women don't get an ultrasound to check until after 35 weeks, if ever? Could totally be my dumb question for the day.
Agree with the other ladies, you've got plenty of time for that little baby to turn, you'll be fine.
My baby was breech until the day I got my 36 week ultrasound to check. She was stubborn enough to wait until the day we officially checked. I got worried about it about 34 weeks and so I started laying on an ironing board propped up on the couch with my head on the ground, and put a bag of frozen veggies on the top of my stomach. (They will try and get away from the cold) I didn't do this as much as I was supposed to, but I think it still got her to turn. You can even put heat at the bottom of your belly, and also play soothing music down there, too. You have until 39 weeks for her to turn, but it will probably happen much sooner!
By the way, I'm sorry your dr is scaring you like this! There's no reason to be alarmed yet! (Although I was really worried, too, so I need to not say anything like that! LOL)
All the photos above were taken in the exact same place, about a year apart.
This. Statistically, it's safer to deliver a breech baby vaginally than by c-section. There is only one type of breech that is trully complicated (the legs in the 'splits' position, not both together).
In any case, check out spinningbabies.com they have lots of tips on how to turn a baby. And you have other options! A version, accupuncture etc.

This. OB said not to worry about it until at least 36-37 weeks.
Dont' know what to say. Our baby was breech at 32 weeks and still is 5 weeks later. My scheduled c-section is 4/4. I was quite bummed, but a scheduled c-section is better than one after several hours of labor IMO. At least I have had time to make peace with it.
Good luck! There's still time for baby to turn so don't panic, or cry...yet...I was in tears last week, but now I'm all good.
