  • I am SO tired of diarrhea.... never thought I would be so excited to see a baby have a real poop... I can NOT wait.

Hadley was just sitting in front of me in the floor, and then I look and she is face first in the rug... bad thing is, I didn't even know she fell. Obviously she isn't minding...lol.

  • I'm a SAHM and I get up when DD gets up. I really need to start getting up earlier, but I'm just not motivated enough to do it yet. I'm definitely not a morning person.

I get up with whoever gets up first. I have no desire to get up any earlier than necessary lol

YEah... totally don't get why anyone would want to get up before LO... :o

  • The other day, I woke up to Mason crying on the monitor. I shut the monitor off with the intention of getting right up to get him, but I fell back to sleep. I have done this more than once. I now keep the monitor across the room so this doesn't happen.

Lol.... kinda like some people turning off their alarm clock and having to move it across the room?! That's funny! I'm sure he was fine though! ;o)

  • I love that I was memorable enough to be part of a poll on here. It was excellent for self-reflection as well.

When you talk about how long you've been up... it seriously makes me looney just thinking of it. I REQUIRE sleep, as in... I don't function without it. Kuddos to you!!

  • I hate when MIL buys DD clothes. She always buys odd sizes (a 12M top with matching 18M pants) and never my style. This week she gave DD an early Easter present which was a sailor dress. Its bright white, sleeveless, and in a size that DD will grow out of before the summer...and where the heck is she going to wear that?

My mom also wants to buy DD every holiday outfit. Doesn't she realize that I'm her mom and I like to pick out things for her to wear on special occasions? I know they're being generous, but it annoys me.

  • 9x out of 10 if someone buys Kellan clothing, I return it and pick something out I like better.  I can't stand the ultra cutesy stuff and whenever someone buys him stuff that's what they always seem to get.

That happened to me a couple of times, too, when LO was 4 months old and going through some horrible sleep phase. I woke up feeling so well rested and so guilty. But it was comforting to see that he was perfectly happy and normal when we did get up for the day.

I thought of a good FFFC on Monday...but now I've forgotten it. I have a brain like a sieve.

  • I get so mad when people talk about their kid STTN. I know it's not their fault that my kid won't but especially when they say 'oh we didn't do anything' or the other extreme 'oh we just were disciplined and did blah blah blah.'

I want their kids to start waking up every 90 mins to 3 hrs and not go to sleep even when they nurse/ give them the bottle.

I feel like if your kid is STTN they should keep it to themselves but I know that's completely irrational.

My MIL has bought DS 4 winter coats from size 18m to 4T! I hate to sound like I don't appreciate her giving him gifts, but c'mon. You think maybe his mom might want to pick out a coat for him before he's 5?

DD actually gets up with DH and then crawls in bed with me for another 30 minutes after he leaves so I can sleep until DS wakes up!

Once spring hits I will be meeting my running group outside at 6 am so I am taking every minute of sleeping in I can get right now.

DS shares a room with his cousin who is a little more than 2 months younger than him. His cousin STTN EVERY night. I agree that it's not SIL's fault, but when she comes up to me the next day saying how well rested she is blah blah blah when I am dead tired...it makes me want to punch her. Keep it to yourself SIL...

Mine is that after living here at the ILs, I don't want animals anymore. After our dog, Juice, dies I don't want anymore! (ILs have 5 cats, one dog, plus my dog is here and she just had a puppy)

DH says I'll probably want animals again when we get out of here, but I'm not so sure. I am sick of them!!! Who knows, maybe he's right?

I got some 24 month stuff at my shower too. My Mom said not to exchange them for smaller sizes "You'll need them sooner than you think...". But not that soon! He will need clothes before then you know?

I've heard comments from FF moms like, "Why do you bother, it's so much work," and comments from moms that EBF like, "I don't think it's true when people say they have low supply..if you feed your baby you will make the milk." Of course not all moms are judgy mcjudgersons...I just never really have anything to contribute to BF vs FF type posts because I can relate to both sides but don't really feel like I belong to either.

  • I find it obnoxious when people say they aren't giving yobaby yogurt because they don't want to create a sugar addict so young.  Really now?  Have you looked at the sugar content of fruit purees?  It is high.  Sugar is sugar, whether it is naturally occurring or added later (and yobaby doesn't have hfcs).

I feel like it is kind of an "I'm better than you" jab at moms who give yobaby yogurt.  Why do people feel like they need to dance around singing "I am so great...I am so great...la la la...I am so great"?

Me too! My FFFC is that I'll leave the bottles for DH to wash all the time because I hate it so much. I'll use the last one before I go to work knowing that he'll have to wash them before I get home. I figure I get up with DS every night while DH snores away, so he can wash the bottles, right?

The only reason I stopped buying yobaby is because I am cheap LOL I can buy a tub of the other, normal stuff for cheaper than a 4 pack of the yobaby.  My kid still scarfs it down either way so win-win!

Pretty sure I did that this morning. I've done it before too. I also slept with headphones last night so DH can get his butt out of bed once in a while. Of course DS STTN. Awesome timing.

I also realized that I have a massive amount of laundry this weekend. I think I am just going to go out and buy clean underwear instead.

  • When people talk about TTC again, I always assume their LOs are easy and STTN.  I KNOW in my head that's not necessarily true, but I can't convince my judgy self otherwise.

My other FFFC... my DH's godson, who is 2 months old, is like the PERFECT baby.  STTN every night, naps like a dream, never cries, etc.  I must admit that before he was born, I was hoping he'd be as difficult as DS.  He's the easiest baby in the world, and I find myself getting mad at his mom sometimes because I'm so jealous of her perfect, easy life.

Then there should be some middle ground in here too hah! DS1 was not a breeze, but pretty happy as a baby. He's really willful as a toddler.

DS2 seems to be very compliant, so *fingers crossed* he'll stay pretty even keel.
