I've read mixed reviews on this online and wanted to get your takes. My RE said it was perfectly fine without even batting an eye. I am 6w2d at this point. I wouldn't have even thought twice about it myself considering I'm only in the first trimester and they won't be doing anything with my abdomin, but there were a few people who suggested not doing it when I googled it. Granted, the posts I saw were old and from very random sites. I just don't want to do anything that's unhealthy. Wednesday's ultrasound showed everything was perfect so far and my hcg and progesterone are awesome if that makes a difference. Thanks ladies!

Re: Massage ok?
Massage is fine, but when you book it, specify a prenatal massage. Better yet, when you call to book your appointment, ask if the masseur is trained in prenatal massage.
I had one in my early 2nd tri - it was heavenly.
The place I go to says that massage is contraindicated in the first tri, so I'm waiting until I'm about 13.5 weeks. I don't think there is really any good objective research on how safe it is (there are some claims that first tri massage is related to m/c - not sure how credible that is).
Because it only means waiting a few weeks, I'm erring on the side of caution for now. Once I hit the second tri, I'll be going as often as possible!
