  • My UO is that, even though this is the internet, and a message board, I still think some care and consideration should be given to how you post/respond to people. If you wouldn't want someone speaking/writing to/about you in that manner, then you shouldn't post it in that way. I am seriously one of the most offensive people I know IRL and even I put in the marginal time and effort it takes to clean up a response so that it's not completely/potentially rude. If I can do it, everyone should be able to. Granted, there will be those times where we step on each others' toes a bit, but let's at least put forth a minimum effort to not come across rudely.

I know this will be unpopular. I don't like being a stay at home mom. I miss school and adults and working outside of the house. I am a sub right now so instead of paying for DC I am at home, but I think I'll go back in the fall. I love spending time with Levi, but I feel torn.

I don't blame you for this at all. I like working and having some time away. I'm a very social person.

    Never would have guessed.

I actually want to go to Seattle not to see my lifelong friends, but just to meet you.

  • I think I finally came up with my own UO.

I'm over Pinterest.  Seriously.  I may venture back there eventually, but it got old for me. Perhaps it is because I am NOT a crafty person.  Or a person who takes enjoyment from cooking.  Or whatever.  But I'm over Pinterest.

  • I don't like Ben the bachelor.  I don't think he's attractive at all, and I think he has no personality.  It shows by all of his comments that he makes when these beautiful women (who I think can do WAY better than him) confide in him. "I appreciate you sharing that with me."  who talks like that!?

I guess it is really unpopular not to sleep through the night, but I don't want to do sleep training!  People need to stop telling me that I need to sleep train Preston!!!!  He doesn't STTN, he wakes to eat and then falls right back asleep (usually).  Yes, I am a little tired during the day....I just go to bed earlier.  MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!!  Why does it matter so much to other people whether my son STTN or not?  I just don't get it.

I am seriously considering lying when the nurse asks me if Preston is sleeping 7 hour stretches.

I agree with this completely.  I will admit, however, that we went to the pedi yesterday in part because DS wakes every 1.5 to 2 hours overnight and has never napped more than 1 hour after he was 4.5 months old.  He wakes up SCREAMING not just fussing.  If he just woke up and needed comfort, I wouldn't be terribly concerned.  He wakes, is hungry, needs comfort and yet still screams when we put him down alone or on his back.  There has to be something more than just separation anxiety going on.  Most mornings, I end up having him sleep on his belly draped over me (we look like a cross/plus sign) just to get him to sleep past 5am.

I wouldn't want to be a SAHM. I enjoy going to work. I bet the board is pretty split between those wanting to SAH and those who don't.

i'm 50 / 50 - i'd like to work maybe 2 or 3 days a week maximum and SAH the rest of the time - i like the stimulation the office gives me but i also really wish we didn't need my income to survive!

We haven't had cable or satellite since August of 2010. We download a handful of shows when we remember to, but that's it.

I hate FML! I seriously always want to comment "really, is your life that bad?" There are so many more people in this world with bigger issues, problems, etc. I can accept a vent/complaint. But to add FML to it has just become way too common imo.

  • Oh. I am an idiot. I thought the L in FML stood for "luck." Haha. Today is actually the first time I have noticed this abbreviation.

I wouldn't be as irritated with the abbreviation if this is what it stood for!!!

i could handle the term if it was "luck" but just like Chelsea i can't stand that people use it for some minor irritation in their life, Life is not that bad people.... unless of course you live in a third world or war torn country!
