I think people who swear they need "four seasons" are lying or just don't know any better. I am not even sorry to say this but WINTER SUCKS and why someone "needs snow, ice, and frozen temperatures" had got to be lying to themselves.
If you were a skiier/snowboarder you would understand! I love snow!
I love snow, but hate the cold. I clearly have issues that can't possibly be worked out!
lol I'm a bad Canadian because I don't do any winter sports. I don't HATE the snow but I'm kind of royally pissed off that it decided to wait until NOW to show up. they are announcing 15cm today ( whic leads me to my UO--the metric system is better!).
I hate a lot of shows people love, or seem to love. I don't watch Realty TV unless it's cooking related, and even then I don't watch much (Top Chef mainly). I hate Two and a Half Men, 2 Broke Girls, Big Bang Theory. I've never even seen New Girl (though I think I could stomach that one) and I refuse to watch Modern Family because Sophia Vergara irritates the crud out of me. I don't care how beautiful she is, her accent is too thick for how many commercials she's in.
Since I seem to lack my own UO today, I will continue to claim others as my own! Anyway, totally agree with this. Not a fan of most sitcoms. The only actual tv series I get into these days is The Walking Dead. I do love the cooking shows (with Chopped being one of my favorite) and also HGTV (House Hunters and the DIY shows particularly - when I have one of those on, DH will quietly slip out of the room and get as far away as possible).

I hate shoes. I wear them out of necessity but I really hate them. I would much prefer to walk around in flip flops all year long, but I can't do that in the snow. And I seriously hate heels. They hurt my feet and I can't properly walk in them.

I am with you! When I was younger my mom got mad because we made it all the way to the mall and then she realized I let with no shoes on, LOL. I love walking around in just socks. Now that I am older I can't stand being outside without shoes just because I hate the thought of what I might step in, haha!

It just wouldn't make any sense for them to have there own. (their own)
Kimbo, I think you're great, but THIS is my UO!
Oh no. I am hanging my head in shame. I HATE when people do this too. However, I don't do it often. I think I do pretty well overall when it comes to proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling (even though I am a HORRIBLE speller).
Sure to be unpopular on this board. In my own, admittedly ignorant opinion, baby led weaning is crazy. A choking incident with LO is, hands down, my worst nightmare. I can't imagine what might justify taking that risk. Don't know if I am ever going to let him eat anything but purees and puffs (maybe when he's thirty, lol)

To each their own. Audrey just was not into purees. I was not going to force them on her. She is a great chewer. She loves picking up her own food. She seems to enjoy food so much more this way.

I think this is one of my first UOs ever. I hate when people use slang or Ebonics in the work place. I feel it is so unprofessional, I understand if people want to speak poorly in private (ok I don't but let's pretend) but there is no need to do it at work. I know it's wrong but I judge people who speak in all slang. I know I am in no way perfect in the english department but sometimes listening to people hurts.
My UO: I hate Winnie the Pooh and Dr. Seuss. Yup. Hate 'em.
I'm not a big Winnie the Pooh person either. People got me a bunch of WTP stuff when I had DD and I returned most of it. Why do people just assume you're going to love it just because you now have a baby? I don't hate it, but it's not for me. I'd rather watch Mickey Mouse.
I'll go ya one further. I've never even seen the Goonies.
You and me both!
And me! I have seen bits and pieces while friends were watching it, but never the whole thing. I feel like the parts I saw were stupid. DH has a sloth shirt and picks on me about this.
My UO is that I don't like The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, or anything else "wizardly."

I agree. Also i hate when people attempt to type slang. I deal with patient charts all day and cannot believe some of the things written in them. Text abbreviations and made up words have no place in a legal document.

Because it isn't a risk. Or at least not any more risky than whenever you start to feed your baby table food. At some point they are going to eat table food. Eating puffs and purees first doesn't make them less likely to choke on them.
Plus, babies can choke on anything. I'm not the best housekeeper, so she's probably more likely to choke on something she picks up off the floor.

I don't like it when people on my pinterest boards pin fashion stuff all the time. I can't see people actually wearing the outfits they pin.

I used to think this until I moved from NYC to FL. I will take the few months of awful winter any day to ridiculous humidity and heat for half of the year. I used to love the sun but I HATE it b/c of where we live.
I love snow, but hate the cold. I clearly have issues that can't possibly be worked out!

That counts. You are officially a good Canadian again.
1. On the same vein as the Goonies thing (which is an awesome movie btw), I hate Top Gun, Titanic, and Pretty In Pink.
2. I hate when people misuse your/you're. I just don't get how one can screw this up.
3. I'm not fond of snow and ice, but I love cherries and apples and all the other fruits and veggies that require 4 seasons for their biological processes.
4. I hate that bass the musical instrument and bass the fish are spelled the same way. I was reading something aloud the other day and said the fish when I meant the musical instrument. Mucho embarrassing.

I LOVE SNOW! I don't mind shoveling at all. I'm so sad we didn't really get any this year. I feel so robbed. I was born in FL and moved up north when I was 16. I was so happy to have snow!!!! I think having 4 seasons is amazing. It gives you something to look forward to all year.
DH uses my e-mail address for random things. He is usually never online. He knows how to do basic things online but he isn't in the corporate world so he is safe. I made him his own once but he never used it.
Jcsumm - I love you. I use "your face" sometimes but the fact that you use it on your students just made my day!

I guess it is really unpopular not to sleep through the night, but I don't want to do sleep training! People need to stop telling me that I need to sleep train Preston!!!! He doesn't STTN, he wakes to eat and then falls right back asleep (usually). Yes, I am a little tired during the day....I just go to bed earlier. MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!! Why does it matter so much to other people whether my son STTN or not? I just don't get it.
I am seriously considering lying when the nurse asks me if Preston is sleeping 7 hour stretches.

exactly. Of course it is scary to see your baby choke, but BLW doesn't increase the chance of that happening. Since you admitted you may be ignorant to the concept, I think you should know that by learning to chew, they actually are learning to eat properly and be less likely to choke. That being said, I don't care how people feed their kids...if it's just going to stress you out, then it's not worth it. Mealtimes should be fun and rewarding!

I love flip flops and would also wear them year round, but I need four seasons. I also hate snow. Yeah, I know that makes no sense.
I don't like most popular TV shows. I'm waiting for Walking Dead to be done so Sunday night can be my TV night instead of MH's when Mad Men comes back! That is probably not an UO.
My baby gags often when she eats, we do BLW, and it doesn't bother me. She can work it out.
Here's what I have to say about the metric system:
I HATE IT when people use the term 'giving (DD/DS) a sibling/playmate'. Your 2nd (3rd,4th) child is not an object. If you want to GIVE them something- go buy a puppy or a kitten or a new toy. Not another child. I just think it's unfair to that baby.
This probably won't be that unpopular around here but, I don't understand why people spend this much money on a carseat when there are perfectly safe one's for less than half the price.
Wow, that is dumb. You don't need to spend that much for a good car seat lol

I know this will be unpopular. I don't like being a stay at home mom. I miss school and adults and working outside of the house. I am a sub right now so instead of paying for DC I am at home, but I think I'll go back in the fall. I love spending time with Levi, but I feel torn.
I don't blame you for this at all. I like working and having some time away. I'm a very social person.
