My daughter is just about ready to start stage 1 fruits. Do you make your own or buy it already "ready to go?" If you make your own do you just puree it?
I decided to make my own right now since she doesn't eat much of it I would have to throw away a jar after a few days. It's not difficult at all to make pur?es. I have a regular Magic Bulllet.
I made my own. I made a variety of purees for him. He's never really liked any of the fruits or veggies or cereals all that much and we've just started giving him table food from our dinner. He's much happier and willing to try it that way and won't touch a puree now. My advice would be to not make too much of any puree until you know LO actually likes food and will eat it. I'll probably end up eating the purees myself!

I make my own. So far I have pureed everything except bananas. I have to puree it pretty well or she will not eat it. She doesn't like the texture if it isn't super soft.

I do a mix of buying it already made and pureeing my own. I also have a Magic Bullet and usually before I throw the fruit into it, I boil or steam it first. It makes it much easier!

I was going to make my own but have been buying the food when it goes BOGO and I have coupons. I have bought around 36 jars(half of them organic) for less than $3.00. I always look at the ingredients to make sure there are no other additives. I read that sometimes it's more expensive to make baby food than buying.
