I'm a software product manager and I do plan to go back to work, hopefully can pull off not returning until the first of the year. DH will become a SAHD once I return to work.
I am an industrial designer. I went back to work full time after DD#1, but am hoping to stay home after this one arrives. I also run my own invitation design business on the side, so I plan on focusing more on that after I quit my full time job.

I work at a technology company that is names after a fruit. Waiting.... waiting.... got it?
Anyways, I think I get 3 months off. I plan on taking every minute of it! DH has literally 6 months of vacation saved with his company. He will probably take the first 2-3 weeks off, go back to work until I return to mine and then take the rest of his vacation to be a SAHD for 5+ months. Then he will go back to work and our child doesn't have to go to childcare until they are like 8-9 months old.
I work in the telecommunications industry, but fortunately I get to work from home, but I am always on conference calls, so not really like I can take care of a baby and work at the same time. I will go back to work after about 8 weeks or so, but man it's so hard for the first little while!
I'm a Transfer Advisor for a University and I plan to go back to work after about 8 weeks. Luckily DH and I work opposite schedules so one of us will be with the baby the majority of the time and we will be getting a nanny to help with the other times we cannot be home.
I'm the director of a high school youth services program. I work in the school, but my employer is actually a local non-profit agency.
I will definitely go back full time. I love my job and they're very flexible. I can bring the baby occasionally, when school is closed or during the summer months. I will probably stay home for 8 weeks. I'd like to take off the full 12 I am allowed, if we can swing it financially.
I'm an attorney. I practice corporate litigation. I probably won't even get a true maternity leave as I will probably still have to do work from home on my cases even while out. Part of me REALLY wants to stay home, but part of me knows it is nearly impossible to leave and come back in a couple of years in this profession.

That's a hard one because I'm due in Sept but I am also in school to be a teacher so I will be student teaching starting in January. I don't know if I will go back or take a leave of absence while I student teach. I graduate in May 2013

I'm a financial adviser and am definitely going back! Dad is the boss so I will most likely arrange a work from home deal a few times a week, plus grandma will play babysitter every now and then! I highly doubt I'll even get an official maternity leave though....womp womp.
I'm an office manager and I'm going back as well. I'll probably take 6 weeks. I just started this job so I don't qualify for FMLA or any form of maternity leave.
I also have my own invitation biz! I'm hoping to make that full-time eventually as well. Even if its not a huge amount of income...It is far more rewarding than my full-time job!
I design roofs for commercial buildings, I will be going back full time after 4-6 weeks. Still trying to figure out if we can afford for me to be off for 6 this time around.
I do A/R and random other office stuff for a very small company. I will be going back to work after baby, but hopefully will be able to take 10 weeks of my FMLA.

I am a real estate closer and I plan on taking my vacation time as maternity leave. It sucks because I am the only one who does my job.......the other paralegal doesn't deal with real estate and I don't mess with her stuff. I work for a small firm so maybe I will have the option of bringing baby W to work with me until he/she can go to daycare. I hope this is the case.....my boss is never at the office so it's not like he would have a problem with it but the other attorney and her assistant might. My mom is only a few hours away and she will help me out if I am unable to bring the baby to work. Anyone looked at daycares yet? I know there are typically long waiting lists and we plan on looking after our first US tomorrow
I work a 9-5 as an in-house graphics specialist, and I have my own photography business. The plan is to not go back to the office and transition into being a WAHM doing my photography and some freelance graphics work.

Yes, I will be going back to work after my leave - hopefully 12 weeks. My company is in CA, and I live in NJ and work from home, so babe will be with me until he/she starts crawling, then its onto day care, or in-home care.

I'm an adjunct professor, so I'll take the fall semester off and then pick up a few courses in the spring. Teaching at the college level is a pretty flexible schedule, so I'll hopefully be able to work only a few days a week and stay home with the baby the other days.
I am a Pediatric RN in a hospital and will be going back after the baby, probably in December (depending upon how much PTO I have banked up). To be honest, if I could I would happily be a SAHM, but we just couldn't afford me to not work right now.
I also want to say that I love reading what everyone else does!

I am finishing my BSN right now and will be done in April. I plan to get a casual job when I'm done. I won't be working long enough to get paid time off, so since I'll be casual I just won't take shifts for about 6 weeks then slowly start easing myself back into it. H will most likely take parental leave at that point and be a SAHD for awhile, since he will qualify for paid time off.
This was a big part of our TTC decision, since we live in Canada and I could have had a year off if we waiting another six months. I figured I preferred DH to take most of the time off for this baby, anyway, since I just spent 4 years getting my degree. If I took a year off right away as soon as I could, it would be postponing me starting my career even longer, and also I would be so lost being a new grad and having taken a year off when I returned to work. We found a way to make it work I'll take full leave with baby #2.
I teach high school. I would love to be a SAHM but my husbands job provides no insurance, so as of right now I am planning on going back. I'm trying to figure out if I could take a leave for the entire school year.
I'm a teacher and I plan on taking off the remainder of the school year (we are allowed to take up to a year unpaid)....we've been saving up to be able to do that. I would like to be a SAHM, but we'll have to see how much of our savings we dip into that first year....if we can make it without it then I might stay home.

I'm in Finance for a retail company. We can take up to 12 weeks off (only 6 is paid) and I plan on taking every.single.minute.
I'll be honest, my sleep through the night at 6 weeks + 4 hour daytime napper had me BORED after 8 weeks. But now that he's a toddler, if I get nearly as lucky with #2 on the sleeping front, I know I won't be bored with a 2 year old around!
I plan on taking my vacation time as maternity leave. It sucks because I am the only one who does my job.......
This is me also, so I will probably have to go back to work after 4 weeks. Luckily my boss/job is somewhat flexible and fall/winter is our slow season. I might be able to work from home a day or two a week, or not work a full 40 hrs and take a temporary pay cut for a bit. We will see. DH's mom will be a big help too though I bet.
I work in Corporate Finance and will likely be back to work between 6 and 8 weeks pp..... I want to save some of my vacation and sick time for when the new baby starts daycare! (And DH is going to start his paternity leave when I go back to work, since he makes less than I do and it makes more sense for him to go without pay than me)

I'll go back, probably after 8 weeks.
I'm not FT so I don't qualify for FMLA and I only work 32 hours over 2 weeks. (I work every other weekend and 1 day each week).

Well I don't get paid mat leave and I work with DH & MIL so I should get plenty of help.
