What do you think of each of these names? Any other suggestions or any suggestions to use one of these names with another name as fn or mn? TIA!

Isla -family name

Kate - cannot use Katherine due to niece's mn Catherine

I actually love most of them. (Aside from Elena and Elise which are more NMS, but still nice.)

I like them all! And I find it quite refreshing to see Lauren on your list--lovely! From your list, the combos I would choose are Lauren Adele, Isla Rosaline, and Olive Elise.

I love your list! The only ones I'm not fond of are Adele, Elena, and Rosaline. The others are wonderful...my favorite is Isla.

They're all good solid picks. There's nothing wrong with them at all.

Here's my personal opinions though:

Isla: It's fine. I just don't get the appeal. It gets a lot of love on here however.

Olive: This has to be my most hated baby name. All I think is bloody mary with a side of celery and an olive. I much prefer Olivia

Kate: Love. And if you want to use Katherine by all means go ahead. It's only your neice's middle name. 3/4s of the world won't know, remember or care. I just think Kate needs a full name too.

Adele: I dig it. Our French Exchange Student had a sister named Adelaide who went by Adele. It's cute. I have Adella on my long list.

Lauren: Pretty and Classic. I know quite a few babies with that name though.

Elise: Love..it's on my list

Rosaline: Fine but I don't see the appeal. I think as a history teacher I've read too many Holocaust/WWII stores with a Rosaline or some variation thereof as the character. Not that that's bad..it's just what I think.

Elena: It's fine.

Kate - LOVE as either FN or MN

I really have to largely agree w/ this list!! My only "change" is that I don't necessarily hate Olive, but I really dont' get the love for it. I like Olivia much more.

Isla -family name- I want to throw up when I hear it.
Olive -family name- Goes in martinis
Kate - cannot use Katherine due to niece's mn Catherine- Sounds unfinished, and you have a silly reason for not using it. It's not a huge deal to use a mn as your child's fn.
Adele- Ok
Lauren- Love
Elise- Ok
Rosaline- Ok, like Rosalind better
Elena- Do not like

Olive -familydo not like it, it is a food

Kate - i like it for nn but you said you cant use full name

Adele- theonly person i know is a man with this name so i have a male association

Lauren- LOVE it! I always thought it was classic, pretty and feminine.

Elise- its ok

Rosaline- its ok

Elena- its ok

Isla -family name: dislike - seems overrated and trendy
Olive -family name - like, but I know someone with a dog named Olive, so it's hard for me to see it on a human
Kate - cannot use Katherine due to niece's mn Catherine - like

Rosaline - would prefer Rosalie. The 'n' throws it off.

Olive: LOVE it's on the top of my girl list!

Lauren: This is my name. I'm surprised to see how many ppl on here "love" it. I'm impartial to it. But I will say it's a good name to grow up with. Doesn't rhyme with anything crazy so, I was never made fun of because of it or anything. Common enough people know how to say/spell it but, not super popular. I didn't know another Lauren until I went to college.

Kate - It's ok by itself, but it needs a full name. Like PP said, use Katherine if you want to.
Adele - I don't like this name. It sounds like an old lady.
Lauren - Pretty, classic, and feminine. I like this name.
Elise - Love this name!! Thought about using it, but it doesn't flow well with our last name at all:(
Rosaline - Eh, it's ok.
Elena - Only if you pronounce like eh-lay-na.

Adele - I know its probably not what you want to hear but all the think is the singer

Adele another fabulous name!
Lauren I always liked Lauren. I think its a classic.
Elise I'm probably the only person in the world that doesn't care for this name. No particular reason, its just dull to me.
Rosaline I like this a lot.
Elena Just eh on this one. Its pretty, but it doesn't do much for me.

Isla - I'm starting to like this
Olive - like it - but I think of Little Miss Sunshine, not a bad association.
Kate - I don't really like this as a stand alone FN and I also find it boring
Adele - It's ok, not really a fan
Lauren - Too plain for me
Elise - Ok
Rosaline - Love Rosalind, this is pretty too
Elena - Ok

My favorite is Isla, Rosaine, Olive (in that order)

Isla - beautiful (it's trendy now, but family connection makes it a great choice!)

Kate - I think you could use Katherine even though niece's MN is Catherine. I also think Kate can be a stand alone
Adele - fine, but makes me think of the singer

Good names! Just piping in to say if you like "Kate" but don't want to use "Katherine," "Kathleen" is also an option. You'll just have to be strict at first about people not calling her "Kathy."

i can't believe how popular Isla is becoming! my MIL's name is Isla (but spelled ila) and in the last year i've had 2 girls in my class named Isla, and every time it comes up on here people love it! def. nms, but it sure is coming back into popularity!

Olive - I find it really popular right now and pretty/classic

Kate - I think that this is a good NN. I also think that your reason for not using Catherine/Katherine is silly, since it is your neice's MN. Have you thought about something like Katrina with a nn Kate?

Adele - I actually kind of love this name

Lauren - meh

Elise - pretty

Rosaline - I love this name personally

Elena - This is ok but nms.
