When did you test positive?

Hey mamas! I just got a BFP today thru a blood test. I POAS twice before the blood test; this morning and last night. My AF isn't due until Friday. I don't chart, but I assume I am about 12dpo. When did you get your BFP? Anyone else get negative HPT at 12dpo or later? The nurse assures me it is normal to test negative on an HPT, yet positive on a blood test this early. I don't feel it's that early though, with AF only two days away. And P.S. according to LMP, I am 3weeks 4days along - due Sept. 30th! Yay!

I got my BFP at 9dpo. I haven't had a blood test yet but the HPTs keep coming back positive so I must be. :P

I got my BFP at 12dpo. I am pretty sure it would have shown up earlier because it was rather dark when I got it.

I got my first bfp on 11dpo. But I charted so I know for sure that is the real dpo.

Yes, DPO means days past ovulation. I got a squinter on 11 dpo and it was clear on 12 dpo. A blood test is consider positive if hcg is over 5, whereas hpts register a positive at different levels depending on the brand (most measure at 20, but some are as high as 40 or as sensitive as 5).

I had my IUD taken out last month, and I just felt I might be. I POAS twice as a mentioned, both were negative but I just felt they were wrong and couldn't wait until Friday for AF to come or not. I've been pregnant before (my son is 2 and a half) and what I am been feeling this past week is similar to what I experienced last time.

I have an excellent doctor who I've going to for 10 plus years - he knew we were trying to get pregnant and his nurses were excited to know too. I didn't realize it wouldn't be standard practice for someone who wanted to know if they were pregnant or not.

I didn't chart, so I really don't know if I am 12 dpo or not. My period is 2 days away, so I am basing this on a 28 day cycle. My periods are usually very regular. From my past pregnancy, I can say I felt very similar to what I am feeling now - just off. I didn't test until the day of my missed period last time, which showed positive. I just thought a HPT should show positive at this point, and wanted to compare other women's experiences. I appreciate the feedback and am thrilled to be joining you ladies on this board!

I got a faint line at 9DPO on my wandfo and then a darker line on my wandfo on 10DPO as well as a "pregnant" on the digital test.

Mrsz2008 - I tried to explain before that I have a pretty good repore with my doc who I seen since I was 17 years old. Its a small practice and I personally appreciate their approach towards patient care. I had a feeling which was obviously correct, so I don't understand what the "wow" is for. I don't see the harm in asking for a blood test, and they were happy to oblige so what is your problem with it again?

Because you could've just as easily have been wrong, and you couldn't wait TWO more days to see if you get your period instead of getting a blood test? The rest of us waited until a positive HPT and didn't run to the doctor every time we *thought* we were KTFU.

I see the Bump hasn't changed; Jesus f'n Christ...I was just asking for personal experiences and not looking for your nasty reply - what does it matter anyway when I ask my doc for a test? I'm glad I have the type of doc who is just as excited as I am know or not.

Seriously, if every single one of us went running to our doctors every time we *though* we were pregnant, there'd be no room for other people to get an appt.

Please excuse me if I'm a little fired up - I really just don't get why this would bother you to reply in a rude way. I'm not an idiot, just excited to know- and am glad I do now know 100%.

Who called you an idiot? I was excited to know too, and honestly, I was pretty sure I was pregnant before I got my for sure BFP, but I didn't go in for blood work until AFTER I got my BFP at home. And then I've had to go back 3 times since then. I would be pissed if I wasn't able to get an appt for a blood draw because someone like you just couldn't wait.

I get it - but did you not read what I just wrote...they were wide open at the lab, so no one missed an appointment because of me. If they were full that day or didn't have room for me,I am sure they would have said so and I would have been fine with that too. It just happened this way and I'm glad it did. The end.

I tested negative at 10 ish DPO and then positive the following day on a digital test!

just got the blood work yesterday and apparently my levels are where they should be at this early in the pregnancy.

That's still pretty early especially if you don't chart. I don't chart either so I don't know exactly but I would say 2 days before my missed period.
