Yelled at on Trouble TTC

Hi everyone- I'm new! I was looking all the site for the most relevant place to post my thoughts and concerns. I found Trouble TTC before I was rudely prompted to here. I didnt even know about this board. So anyway. I wrote in there that I was feeling down and wanted a tww buddy. That I wasnt feeling it this month and i was screamed at and talked to like a two year old. Gee, I thought I was down in the dumps before...She literally had me in tears.:( Is everyone mean on here? I dont know if I should stay?

You need to grow a pair if the post really made you cry. Trouble TTC is for people who have diagnosed fertility issues, not someone who has been trying for 4 months. She could have directed you here in a bit nicer of a way, but it definitely wasn't tear-worthy on your end...

Well not everyone is nice. Most of the people will tell you to go read the newbie link and get familiar with the board (lurk) and charting before posting. I say read the newbie link and sign up for FF (you can do so if you click on anyones ovulation chart in their siggy). Good Luck and I hope your stay is short here! It's really a nice place to hang out if you give it a chance.

You need to have thick skin around here. I suggest doing some lurking to let you know how things go around these parts. Then you can decide if you want to stay or not.

I say suck it up. You'll learn a lot from these ladies if you don't let the TRUTH upset you. We won't butter you up with false hopes.

Ditto. I just read it too. She was not being mean or rude. It was your mess up posting there. I think you know that 4 months of trying does not count as "trouble" TTC. And that hurts or is just plain annoying to some women who may have been trying for a year or more. Grow some thick skin if you want to last around here.

I just read the thread you were talking about...the only rude one was you...complaining about your 4 months of trying on a TTTC board. What is wrong w/ you? Get a clue.

I thought the girls here were mean when I first started too. Obviously I don't like everyone here (that's unrealistic in a group setting) but if you don't post stupid questions or in the wrong place, you'll be fine. FYI I also thought she was way more blunt than she was rude. And I can definitely see how a post complaining about 4 months would rub someone the wrong way when they have been trying for years!

Can I hijack this post to ask another newbie question. Would I be okay to post over in Trouble TTC? I have been diagnosed with PCOS (via ultrasound confirming cysts and bloodwork) and I also have a genetic blood disorder that add complexity for TTC. I have only been TTC for 2 months so I assumed that I would need to hang over here in TTGP until I hit the year mark, but now wondering if I would do better over there since I'm already starting with treatments/medications. What do you ladies think?

I don't feel like I have the street cred for TTTC yet! :-)

When I checked out the post I thought, "Surely, she can't be referring to this first response, it is just pointing her in the right direction" and then I read further and sure enough, that was the supposed "meanie head" response she was referring to. I don't even think you were being blunt, I think you were being helpful!

You know, I cant answer for the whole board...but I personally wouldn't have a problem with you coming over. Im still learning what is what over there as I have just recently joined the board(last 4-5 months or so)

I started Clomid before I hit the 1 year mark because I was diagnosed after TTCing for 5 months with PCOS. Good luck sweets!
