Can I hijack this post to ask another newbie question. Would I be okay to post over in Trouble TTC? I have been diagnosed with PCOS (via ultrasound confirming cysts and bloodwork) and I also have a genetic blood disorder that add complexity for TTC. I have only been TTC for 2 months so I assumed that I would need to hang over here in TTGP until I hit the year mark, but now wondering if I would do better over there since I'm already starting with treatments/medications. What do you ladies think?
I don't feel like I have the street cred for TTTC yet! :-)
You know, I cant answer for the whole board...but I personally wouldn't have a problem with you coming over. Im still learning what is what over there as I have just recently joined the board(last 4-5 months or so)
I started Clomid before I hit the 1 year mark because I was diagnosed after TTCing for 5 months with PCOS. Good luck sweets!
I can't answer for the whole board, either, but I think a nice intro over there will at least open the door for some positive support! I've found that board to be extremely supportive!

Suz, if you have a DX you can head over before the year mark. Good luck!

Ditto. You have a diagnosis. Most ladies with PCOS or endo don't wait out a year to seek a specialist. I don't know how long a lot of the ladies with PCOS have actually been trying or did try before moving over, but I would say that your diagnosis alone puts you in the 3T crowd. Defintiely do an intro and take some time to lurk

Im glad that everyone else feels the same way I do. I didn't wanna say COME ON OVER, if there was still some unspoken rule that I was unaware of
This is why I love the 3T board. Such a supportive group of ladies!

Well, I guess I was right. Never mind. I would never treat anyone like this! I can do this on my own. Remember you reap what you sow.
Ohmygosh, really.... You shouldn't let COMPLETE strangers get to you that much. I mean not like you know any of us IRL. It's the internet for petes sake. Get over it.

Since you are starting on Clomid I would actually recommend moving over to 3T. The ladies over here are great, but there is much more knowledge on the meds over on 3T. I post on both boards like many of the ladies so you can jump back and forth. I started over on 3T at around 4-5 months because of my diagnosis and everybody was nothing but welcoming.
Yep. There's mean people on every board you go to. That's just how it is.
She wasn't mean though!
I agree! She was WAAAAAAY nice. But the OP asked if people are mean on THIS board, so I was just warning her that she'll probably encounter mean people on every board -- especially using her definition of mean!
TTC since Aug 2011. BFP #1 on 10/28/2011 EDD of 07/02/2012 Natural MC on 11/22/2012 BFP #2 on 10/28/2012 EDD of 7/13/13 Judah Ari born on 7/11/13.

You were not yelled at. Jeesh! You were trying to tell us that TTC for 4 months classifies you as belonging with people who are struggling with IF. Not even a little. And if you tried to pull that in real life (as in, went to an IF support group) you would be asked to leave and never return... so deal.
Really TTGP - I'm sorry you have to deal with this crap! It's bad enough on our board, but you guys have to deal with our dumping ground too!

I am in the process of starting clomid. I do not have an official diagnosis though. I lurk a lot, but didn't really know if I qualified for 3T.
