Since its kind of a hot topic on the 3rd tri board:
Tubal Lit. VS Vasectomy.
What the hell is wrong with men? A simple out patient visit with a couple stitches on your neather regions is MUCH safer than a woman having yet another major surgery. Idiot men need to grow up and deal with the fact that getting snipped (Vasec) is a much better, safer, easier, option.
Why do the majority of men think that their twig and berries are sacred, but its perfectly fine for their WIFE to risk massive complications, including death, so that no more unwanted children occur? Since when should birth control be all on the woman? It takes 2 people to make a baby! Man up!!!
Oh, this is not aimed at my DH, he is all for his Vasec.
I'm right there with ya! For me it's not about the surgery (most tubals are done via out pt laproscopic surgery) but more about taking responsibility. Hello, I've carried each child for 9 months (we're planning on having 2), had my girlie bits streached out, and given up my boobs for a year or more, the *least* my Hubby can do is get a little snip. Thankfully he agrees with me.

Why must everyone ask me if I'm having twins? My SIL's awful friend, the postman, the cashier at Target... do you think that makes me feel good? When I say no, they act like it's cute that I appear so large...Glad I could amuse you.
The Nurses Assistant at my MW's office today asked me if I was sure there was only one baby in there with a look of disgust on her face.
THEN, when I said, "yes", she looked at me out of the corners of her eyes and tsked. She f***ing TSKED, and shook her head.
I imagined slapping her over and over again.
Yeah, I know I'm huge. Yep I'm a beached whale. I can (sort of/sometimes) deal with being uncomfortably stared at as I waddle slowly down the aisle of the grocery store, and have perfect strangers ask the dreaded , are you having twins questions. But, a medical professional in an OB/MW practice.... come on!
PHEW! That felt good

Umm...yeah, I am not someone who typically makes complaints, but I would in that case. She shouldn't be there making a bad name for the midwife. If enough people complain maybe she would lose her job, which it sounds like she is not cut out for with that kind of bedside manner.
I hate it when people try to talk me out of having an epidural. It's great if you can handle the pain - really. But I can't. Not mentally, anyyway. I've already been through labour, I know what it feels like for me. If epidurals didn't exist, I might well have opted to not have another child. And no, I don't feel like I missed out on any of the birth experience because of it. I actually feel that I got MORE out of it, because once I got the pain meds, I stopped feeling panicked and wanting to jump out of a window.
This sounds weird, but I also kind of hate it when people praise me for not taking my antidepressants during this pregnancy. I hate it because some people need them, and should NOT go off of them while pregnant. The reason I can is because I'm lucky, and pregnancy hormones make me extra happy. But praising me seems like a criticsm to those whose mental illnesses don't let up during pregnancy, and I find that very unfair.
