Just curious, and just for fun...but do you have a gut feeling about the sex of your baby? I've heard lots of moms say (usually after the fact, ha) that they "just knew" that the baby would be the sex that it turned out to be. And I've even read that mother's intuition is the best non-medical predictor.
So....anyone care to take a guess?
Re: Do you have a "feeling" one way or the other?
I'm leaning "boy", but mainly because I keep unintentionally referring to the baby in masculine terms.
That, and because we at least have names picked out for a girl, but have absolutely zero clue what we'd name a boy. So that practically guarantees it's going to be a boy!

*Identical Twin Boys born June 2012*
Here we go again...IVF 3 is underway!
I am guessing boy so far, simply because this pregnancy has been the complete opposite of my first. With DD, I had no morning sickness, but was exhausted all day, couldn't stand the sight or taste of meat, and craved sugar like it was going out of style. This time, I am throwing up daily, have insomnia and none of the tiredness, I'm craving meat and veggies, and sugar is not tempting to me for the first time in my entire life.
I wouldn't say that I'm convinced that I'm right because I'm just too practical for that, but for whatever reason, I immediately thought this baby was a boy. Like, within hours of my BFP. I couldn't tell you why I feel that way at all, but DH got the exact same feeling. I finally had my first dream about the baby and it was a boy then, too. However, MIL says it's a girl. She's convinced.
It's fun to think about, though. No idea where that intuition comes from, but it's there for sure.

Within minutes of my BFP I told my friend "well at least it's a girl".
I just had a feeling. Now I'm confused. Gender predictions (OWT) say girl too.
With M I KNEW and I knew before I found out. I told my BF that we didn't have to find out because I knew. The technician asked me what I thought it was before she told us and I said boy. And she said Mothers intuition, it's a boy!
I want a girl but am nervous that it's going to be a boy. So I think that's why I'm doubting my intuition now.
Deep down inside I really want a girl, but everyone keeps telling me it's a boy! DH has had 4 boys in one year pop out (on his side). I'm really hoping I'm surprised with a girl!
I had a dream baby was a girl so I'm going with that until we know differently
Friends and family are split right down the middle ... MIL says boy, mom says boy, sister & BFF say girl ... it's all over the place - haha
To add, before I found out I was having twins, I just "had a feeling" although it could have been the fact I did IUI and my betas were high. When the us technician showed us the first sac and HB, I said, just one? Nope, sure enough there was another one! I had my double stroller picked out already (though it has since changed!)
I haven't had any 'feelings' one way or the other, just a want....I want a girl so much, I don't know why, I know that ultimately either way, as long as they are healthy, it doesn't matter, I will love him or her, but i realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly want a baby girl!!! my mom did my ultrasound this week...and kept looking and commenting...uhoh, that looks suspicious (with a look, i could tell she was hoping for a girl too) then no, no, its just the cord, she kept going back and forth, she said she'll look again in a few weeks before we go on a weekend shopping excursion.
Fingers and toes are crossed.....please please please pretty please be a sweet baby girl!!
Anyone else in a similar situation?
I want a girl soooooooo bad! Mostly I want a happy and healthy baby blah blah blah politically correctness lol But I've always wanted a girl! I've had my girl named picked out FOREVER and I've always pictured having a girl. I'm sure if it is a boy everything will be fine and I'll love him just as much. It just means we'll have to have at least 1 more baby lol
When my sister was pregnant, we all (her, my mom, me, and my other sister) just KNEW it would be a girl. And it was. So that was empowering.
Now, for me, I had no idea until I had my first u/s today, and I saw her moving around like a little dancing fool, wiggling her arms ... So yes, the way the baby was moving totally convinced me it was a girl. Everytime I refer to the u/s, I use feminine nouns and pronouns.
Everyone tells me they think I'm having a girl, and all the OWT and chinese charts say girl.
Also, we only have a girls name... lol
So, i'm hoping it's a girl!

The whole time I was pregnant with my DS I knew he was a boy! I had dreams about him all the time.
This time around I have had 3 dreams it was a girl and my boss even came to me and said that she had a dream that I had a baby girl and started to tell me what she looked like.
When I got pregnant I really wanted a boy but the more I think about having a girl the more real and calming it is.
So I guess I will find out soon enough, but I am thinking a girl...
I've always wanted to have a boy first, and a girl second. That's how it was for my brother and I, and it just seemed like a natural fit. As soon as I found out I was pregnant though, I started being drawn to little girls' clothing, feeling like it was probably a girl, and all the OWTs seemed to point to girl. And then a cashier told me, out of the blue, that she thought I was having a girl (I was only 2.5 months and not showing!). I told my husband, "I know we wanted to have a boy first, but I think the universe is telling us we're having a girl..."
I am thinking girl, but who really knows. Of course I have my reasons like, my husband really wants a boy (I just had a Freudian slip and typed girl instead of boy, another reason). Also my pregnancy is just like my first with my daughter, very little m/s, exhausted the whole first tri, craving coca cola even though not preggo I can't stand it. Plus my husband and his BFF growing up would always say that they were going to be "cursed" with all girls. Needless to say his BFF has four girls. lol.
If/when we all find out what we are having at our 20 week u/s for those of us that are not going to surprise ourselves. We should all post what we thought the baby was, our reasons and what the baby really is.
