Trying to Get Pregnant

any recommendations. . .

. . .on pregnancy tests? Never had to take one before. Which brand do you guys recommend? Any suggestions on actually taking the test? What to do? What not to do? I'd really appreciate the help. :)

Re: any recommendations. . .

  • I really like First Response. You should read the instructions it comes with as it answers all of your other questions. :)

  • I'm not down with wasting money so I buy the ones from the Dollar Store. Then if I were to ever get a positive I'd get a Digital.

    Ditto.

They are kind of pricey though. If you are testing weekly (like me because my cycle is all wonky) , I'd suggest getting an off-brand. They are just as reliable.

No blue dye tests. Beyond that, they are all pretty equal. Convenience is the main difference.

    This.

Also a lot of women here use "wondofos" which I also just purchased. They're cheap and come in big packs.

  • Any digital one, even though they're more expensive, I prefer it so I don't have to squint, be doubtful of the line(s) darkening, etc.

I agree with this. I get Wondfos off ebay and would do a digital if needed.

    BFP - 3/3/12    EDD & Birthdate - 11/10/12

    BFP - 2/27/14    EDD - 12/3/14  MC at 11 weeks

    BFP - 9/28/14    EDD - 6/8/15

  • When I found out I was PG with Brooke, I tested so many times *just to make sure* and every test: expensive, cheap, digital or not - all came out with the same response. I would go cheapy, especially if you plan on testing a bunch.
