Hi ladies, I am new to the Houston area (Katy- Cinco SW). Today on my way home a dog was running down S. Fry Rd near Spring Green Blvd. I didn't want it to get hit by a car so I picked him up and took him to my vet to see if he was microchipped. He's not. I'd prefer to take him to a no-kill shelter/rescue but being new to the area I'm not sure which ones are. Any help would be much appreciated! TIA!

Since you live near the Katy area, you can try Citizens For Animal Protection (aka CAP). They're not a no-kill shelter, but they don't put down as much as the city shelter.
The ASPCA in the heights is no kill and is actually a really nice facility....(considering). There is also a place called Noah's Ark. They are more of a "Mom and Pop" animal shelter, but call first because sometimes they are full. They are located in Cypress.
