Hey ladies...just a warning...this post might be a little tmi. So, I'm 13 weeks and for the past week or so I have been suffering with pretty bad constipation. I'll go a few days without a BM until I finally just become determined and push as hard as I can for a really long time until I finally succeed. Sometimes I even have a REALLY sharp pain in my abdomen. I'm nervous that all that pushing might be hurting the baby though. I'm on an antibiotic (Flagyl) until Thursday so I'm affraid to take any over the counter medicines until then. Has anyone else experienced this?
Re: Constipated and super frustrated!
with my first child I had a lot of constipation and the thing that helped me the MOST was Cracklin Oat Bran! It's a really good cereal that actually tastes great! I'm not sure about the stomach pain part, I'm guessing it's from straining so much? But DEFINATELY get some cracklin oat bran to keep you regular
Prune juice is your friend (and mine)
I'm heading to the store to re-up my supply later. I had the same issues with my first pregnancy.
LOL Yep!! This was my daily 'regulator'
I am having a hard time stomaching coffee now though so I have to find other ways.
Dulcolax is the best. It's a stool softener and it works very quickly. It does not give you diarrhea it just gives you normal stool.
I tried eating prunes, apples, fibrous cereal and drinking a ton of water but nothing worked like Dulcolax.
